Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 448 South Independence Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I wasn't going to review but I saw a recent similar situation so I thought I should. I had a unit broken into and most everything stolen. It was near impossible to find help. The call center emailed the DM and I called the DM. The DM never called me back. No help from the lady at the front, she was rude. I was told to file a police report. They've got cameras everywhere so it would probably be easy for them to see what's going on in their facility. Probably an inside thing. Also they've got junk all over the place, I didn't see any of my stuff but someone's whole house was dumped in the back. ... Read more

Karen helped me with a situation that had nothing to do with this location but from one that I have been trying to get closed for a while now. Her customer service was great and she did everything she could and got my account closed from this other location. It was much appreciated and she really went the extra mile! ... Read more

Karen is an absolute rockstar! Friendly AND helpful staff! I accidentally left out some kayak racks and Jaren picked them up and put them in their maintenance unit until I came in and asked if they found them! I highly recommend this place! ... Read more

I had a great experience with Karen at this public storage. On short notice she helped me get a unit the same day and helped get me the best deal. However, I only needed my unit for a couple days and never checked it out. Karen then helped me prove I didn’t use the unit and I didn’t have to pay the extra month. I can’t express how helpful, nice, and kind Karen was. Definitely recommend this place. ... Read more

Don’t store your stuff here! Worst experience ever. They raised the rent 3x within a year from $175 to $333. I spoke to several people about it and everyone said there’s nothing they could do. Also when I went to move my stuff out my unit was infested with mice. Mouse poop on everything and they chewed some of my furniture and through several boxes. Public Storage is supposed to take care of pest control. When I told them I was just given several excuses. I kept no food or anything in there that would draw mice. Also there are so many pot holes they don’t take care of the property and the dumpster is always full and if you put stuff next to the dumpster you are fined. Beware of this place! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 448 South Independence Blvd include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 500 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 448 South Independence Blvd start from $56 and can go up to $265 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
