my overall experience was pretty good. i have been using this storage unit for over a year now and there has been a drastic change in how it is run. however, one of the changes that i noticed was the customer service. Chassidy is an amazing employee and she takes pride in making your stay welcoming. she has been with me every step of the way making sure my needs were accommodated and she always kept it professional. ... DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. We moved our belongings on 9/22 and thought everything was great until we came back 2 weeks later to discover someone cut our lock, broke into our unit and STOLE a bunch of our belongings. The lack of cameras and assistance from the facility in this situation was laughable and anything that was left we got it out of there with a quickness. Clearly the facility does not care about their customers that trust them with their things. Get out while you can because I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. ... Read more

I had such an awesome setup with getting my first storage unit this past week. I had several large moving trucks and Chassidy did an outstanding job opening up the gates for my movers and reassuring my belongings are going to be very safe there with all of the wonderful security amenities. Chassidy showed us some amazing southern hospitality by offering all of us some ice cold waters while we unloaded during a heat advisory that day! She also informed me of the QRC code that allowed me to easily download the app to manage my account and the best part of it all is that I can now use my phone app to enter my code to gain access to the locked iron security gate. This will make it much easier by not having to get out of our vehicles to punch in our key code during the extreme weather elements. I highly recommend this storage facility also due to the cleanliness off the property. From the storage unit, parking lot and public restroom (super useful) everything was litter free and very clean. Thank you again Chassidy for answering sll of my questions. You get definitely earned a ?in my book! ... Read more

I haven't moved in yet but so far the customer service has been great. I made a reservation and was able to push back the move in date when I secured my rental. I called to see if any parking spaces were available to better accommodate the trailer I'll have parked there and she took a minute to look at the spaces and provide her thoughts on the best one for my needs. I look forward to working with this facility. ... Read more

Not happy that they raised my rates substantially. 10 x 10 now 161.00. Can get new same size for 100.00. Guess my only choice is to rent new and have to move everything. Would like to see if my rate could be change and rebate given for overcharging since rate increase. Service from Chasity is great though ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1489 General Booth Blvd include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1489 General Booth Blvd start from $45 and can go up to $270 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
