Read some helpful reviews of Jack Rabbit Storage at 600 Jack Rabbit Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Clean, easy, convenient, reasonably priced, options for climate controlled or ‘regular’. We had a climate controlled unit and a regular unit. Worked perfectly for us, easiest check-out ever when we got to the point we no longer needed the units. Will definitely use them again. ... Read more

We are extremely disappointed with our experience at Jack Rabbit Storage (600 Jack Rabbit Rd, Virginia Beach). We no longer live in Virginia and made a trip back specifically to access our storage unit. A staff member previously told us we would need to bring a locksmith to gain access, so we did exactly that—only to be told they refuse to allow the locksmith to do the job unless the store manager is present. The store manager is nowhere to be found, doesn’t answer his phone, and no one on site is willing to help us. We tried explaining our situation and how far we traveled, but the person working was completely unhelpful and dismissive. This has caused us unnecessary stress, wasted money, and a lot of frustration. It’s unacceptable to run a business like this especially when people are storing important personal belongings. We feel misled and disrespected, and this experience has been nothing but disappointing. ... Read more

I canceled my lease and was not able to take certain things out of the unit. They called and said it would be $200 to remove those items which I was fine with that price. I have documentation of the exact date I canceled with. They charged my card $275 and said that a manager changed the date to over a week and a half later which is why it was now $275 and WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I called them and they did absolutely nothing. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION of the date I approved and will be getting a lawyer. This is crazy to me and extremely unprofessional. I would be very careful dealing with this company!!!! ... Read more

Jasmine went above and beyond to help me with the storage unit for my condo association. We had a very unique situation, and she did some digging to help us resolve it. She then shared the information with her supervisor. Jasmine was polite and very helpful. ... Read more

Alexia, at the Hilltop Jack Rabbit, in Virginia Beach is not only efficient and helpful, but does her job with great compassion. Her kindness and sunny disposition are so appreciated each time we interact! Most people only post or speak to a manager when there’s a problem, so I wanted to be sure to give Alexia a huge shout out for all that she does! ?????? With much thanks, Shannon ... Read more

Mike and his team are exceptional. We never had any issues with service or the storage units. I rented with them for 3 years. During that time I rented a climate controlled unit and a non climate controlled unit. They were both great! Very clean. I would still rent there if I wasn’t moving out of state. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Also, the prices do not increase which is a huge plus and different from any other storage facility in Virginia Beach. ... Read more

What an excellent experience! Mike, is an absolute gem - I am a native back to the days when the Jack Rabbit waved at you as you made your drive down the Blvd. When I returned to the beach after years away, and in need of a storage option, I knew that Jack Rabbit was the only way to go! The location is great, secure, safe, and easily accessed as I need. Mike, the site owner/manager, made this transition of belongings so incredibly easy, and I’m pleased to be a part of the Jack Rabbit family! Thanks so much, and I am happy to do business with you! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Jack Rabbit Storage - 600 Jack Rabbit Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Jack Rabbit Storage - 600 Jack Rabbit Road start from $28 and can go up to $292 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
