Been here for a few months and its been fine. However today i stopped by and the elevator had a sign that it was not working. My unit is on the second floor so i went to take the stairs, not knowing that the stairwell completely locks you in on both doors. I thought no problem there is an emergency exit door to the outside here, i can go out and around. Nope. the emergency exit door that will let you leave the building in case of a fire is also completely locked shut (are there no safety regulations in place? There has to be some sort of code against this i would think). Anyway, now, being completely trapped i try to call the office for someone to let me out and they are unreachable. After several minutes of clicking through bots the phone finally starts ringing just to never be answered. Eventually someone must have heard me in there and let me out and told me to use the elevator on the backside of the building (which i didn’t even know was there). Put a sign on the broken elevator that says “use the back elevator” and make your emergency exit doors actually open so people don’t run to their death in case of a fire would be my two suggestions. ... Staff I’ve met in person are always nice. Though they’ve raised their prices by over 30 dollars in the last five years. I started out paying 35/month and now it’s 67/month for the same size space. So I’m working to empty out my space to save money. Also, a year ago I got a notification that my space will have to be relocated because they needed to do “reconstruction” in the area where my locker was at that time. So I went to my space to start moving my stuff to another locker, and saw that there were rodent droppings all over the place. Wild guess what the reconstruction was for. I took the items that weren’t soiled to another locker and left the items that were soiled there and let them know I didn’t want them anymore and I didn’t feel comfortable removing them myself. Thankfully nothing was of monetary value. They removed the items themselves without complaint, so at least that was something. ... Read more

The people that work there don't did anyone else if somebody is sick so you're trying to get the lock off all by yourself if you have to if you need help in something there's no one there they raised the rent lots a lot of times even if you're a regular there the company is no good ... Read more

Convenient location, easy to access. The Public Storage app is nice in that it provides you with your access code, however, it's doesn't communicate with the access gates, doors, and elevators to allow for contactless entry. The buildings are clean and have maps so your unit is easy to find. The interior units are advertised as climate controlled but I'm not convinced as the interior hallways of the building have been very cold each time I visit. ... Read more

Used this storage for almost a year. I have mold on my furniture. A dead mice was my unit along with droppings. Drew, the manager is very rude and disrespectful. Customer service is also rude and not helpful. The prices are constantly increasing. I would NEVER recommend this place. The ratings below have to be AI generated because yelp has more realistic reviews!! Don’t do it!! ... Read more

We’ve been with this PS location for almost seven years now. It’s been top notch for cleanliness, safety and over all customer service. We recently were notified that we had to move to another space because of impending renovations. Imagine the stress!Received a call from Mia who was very accommodating and worked with us to make the move as seamless as possible. Arrived at the property at the appointed move date. We were checked in by Brittany, who was equally professional and accommodating. Her cheerful demeanor and smile immediately lowered our stress level. In this day and age of “forget customer service” we can sincerely say it still matters how a customer is received and treated. And from the very first day we opened a unit the PS personnel have been truly professional. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 45941 Old Ox Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 45941 Old Ox Road start from $38 and can go up to $470 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
