Nicole G. Is who you want to deal with I didn’t end up needing the space but working w Nicole was so easy. She is super professional, very responsive (and she covers multiple locations) and I just trusted her 100%. She answered all my questions, and she was willing to work with my unique situation. One of the few storage facilities to offer parking to large vehicles! I had to call around for HOURS to find parking for my commercial truck, I was so happy to find this place had a spot available. Not only did they have a spot- it's MORE THAN HALF the price of parking with the other guys! SOLD!! ... Read more

The office manager is friendly and professional. I started renting here because of issues at the other AAAA Roanoke location that went to no staff. UPDATE APRIL 2023: Changed from a 5 star to a 1 star. This location went to "no staff" earlier this year. The issues I left the other AAAA location for, to come to this location, that had an on-site manager when I switched locations, have all come to exist here now as well. We emptied our storage and moved it to a place that has an actual on-site manager to look after the place and my stuff. We will forever avoid any AAAA location anywhere as it seems this is their new norm. They charge as much, if not more than every other storage in Roanoke and have no manager to look after the place and your stuff. Keep that in mind when renting a storage with AAAA. ... Read more

Nobody works here. I rented a couple years ago and was very satisfied. We came to get a unit and the office is no longer open. A nice guy going into the building saw us looking at the door and let us know that around the first of the year they closed the office and someone comes by once a week to cleanup the trash and stuff. Guy said they were moving their business stuff out of there because noone is around to keep the riff raff off the property and said people had been using the bathroom in the hallways and stuff and all payments and stuff was done on the website or not at all. We will not rent from this company again. It cannot be safe without employees present and we use cash only. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at AAAA Self Storage - 1350 Bean Street NW include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by AAAA Self Storage - 1350 Bean Street NW start from $64 and can go up to $206 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
