Read some helpful reviews of Go Store It at 1906 Bishop Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Hallway smells like human urine, and I think someone is living in the units -maybe that is why. From the beginning this site has been mismanaged. Now there is only virtual property managers and they rarely know anything - you still must go to the office, and talk to them on webcam to even get someone. I have storage units at multiple buildings and this is by far the most expensive at 375 ( started at 135 if it tells you anything ) a month for a 10x10 just after 90 days of being there. They're charging me full 10x30 prices ( triple the size ). I've yet to have a good experience here. Unless you want to smell people living in the units, and smelling like urine, please go somewhere else. On top of this, technically they never even got a lease signed, this place is a problem. ... This facility wrongly reported me to a storage auction company for not cleaning out a unit on time. Even after calling them multiple times to clear this up, having written proof, and them telling me they will contact the manager as well as the auction company, they have still not cleared my name. Not to mention the abundance of rat and mouse dropping that I and other auction buyers have found in their facilities units. Be careful renting or buying storage auctions from this location. ... Best storage I’ve used, if there’s ever anything wrong they fix it that day or the next day. It is a lot securer than what I thought and it’s not a lot of foot traffic. If you ever run into the maintenance man he is very helpful and a nice guy, really appreciate him getting the storage unit safe. ... Read more

Solid experience. Virtual office but great service. Had an issue with the lock being on the unit but I was able to get in touch with chat and get the combination. Even when I was talking to them and my phone died, they texted and emailed everything I needed. Everyone was great ... Read more

We had a little trouble checking in initially but the ability to virtually connect with someone made the process very smooth. We also appreciated the attention to safety by posting a picture on the outside door with instructions to call police if individual is seen. Overall very easy experience. ... Read more

Have been with this storage unit for several years now and it has been a positive experience! Geoffery (not sure if he still works there!) was so kind getting us set up back in 2021 when we first got it?? ... Read more

Never have I seen such a gross display of incompetence. Went to go get some items from storage to discover a hole to the sky. It has ruined a coffee table, tv, photos, and more items have been infected with mold. Happened on the third floor so if you have items on there, they may have been contaminated too. Hundreds of dollars of month to have a unit controlled by the climate is absolutely unacceptable. Edit a month later. Was contacted once by the manager, who wrote an extremely unprofessional email then ghosted. If this is how a supposed adult constructs a email, I would be ashamed to see any of their other business practices. The email had been attached below. Once again I would like to express how incompetent the entire management is. If you value any of your possessions stay far away. ... Read more

I highly advise against renting from this facility or company. Other reviews will give you the same advice and they are telling the truth! Save your money, time and sanity and find somewhere else. Read a few more reviews and rent at your own risk! 1. The rent raises are frequent and astronomical, plus force-placed insurance in some cases. $49 will turn into $160....$70 into $180... 2. The facility management is NEVER on-site or available to help. They promise to call you back and never do. Pressing the "Help" button on a floor gets you no assistance and their virtual manager in the office is no help. 3. The elevator is always breaking and management will never notify you when it's down, even for days. You'll drive hours to move your things but they'll be stranded on the upper floors because the elevator doesn't work when you get there. This has happened more than once to just me! I'm sure it's impacted others. 4. The stairwells smell like urine and are not properly cleaned. 5. Not enough moving carts at the facility for people to use 6. They post mug shots on the door warning of criminal activity and you should call the police. How about they manage their security better?? 7. The phone support is really poor - you never get in touch with someone if you say you're an existing customer. Press "1" and say you want to rent a new unit and someone picks up within 60 seconds - I wonder why! Customers expect better Ryan Hanks (Founder/CEO at MADISON CAPITAL GROUP, LLC which owns GoStoreIt) ... Read more

Find another space. I just moved out and It took forever because a homeless man had claimed the cart. The third floor isn't temperature controlled. No management on site. I doubt the validity of any good review about this place made in the last few months. Rent went from $50 to $128 in 8 months, that's with their $15 a month insurance fee they force on you because they won't accept your renters insurance after a month or so. ... Read more

Please choose a different facility. A person with a unit on my hallway appears to be living there. His stuff litters the hallways - and I can't always access my unit, at times I've been dropping stuff off: - There have been people sleeping on the floor in front of my unit. - His dog nearly bit my 4 year old (it's just on the loose) - I've seen a gas barbecue in operation inside. - Several cigarette buts are all over the floor. - There is regularly rotting food and dog urine/feces. - There are now insects (probably because of the above). There is no on-site management. There's a video conferencing rig in their office and you talk to someone remote. I called their 800-number and got what I think was an offshore call center and shared the above. The guy said he'd file a ticket with the property manager. Nearly a week later - nothing had changed - so I spoke to the person on the video conferencing screen (again stating the above, and that I'd already spoken to someone). She advised me she'd update the ticket to the regional manager, but not to expect anything to change quickly. The facility is nice, so is the website. Up until this point they were really easy to work with - but none of that matters if the facility is unsafe - and they're not managing it. I'm in the process of finding a new facility - but very frustrating having to pay the expense to hire movers for this reason. Spare yourself this trouble - choose a better managed facility. ... If you’re looking to rent a unit I would advise you go somewhere else. My rent for my unit has been raised at least or more times. What started out as around $170 ish I’m pushing almost $400 and month now. There’s always a bunch of junk and trash around the building, pan handlers, there’s never any carts available to use, and no one is ever in the office. If you’re ever late there’s a lock placed on your unit. Which is understandable. But, you’ll have to call in and get somebody on the phone to get a code to remove the additional lock yourself. Once the bill is paid the lock should be removed. The make you do it yourself after calling. ... Read more

Very greedy company. Will raise rent on you $75+ at a time, will hit you with renters insurance add ons, trash everywhere. And when the time comes and you need some assistance on site, they knocked out the front office to build a couple more overpriced units and replaced the front desk employees with a kiosk and a tablet. They send out their emails about price increases in the middle of the night well outside of business hours, mine got piled in with spam or went to my junk folder every single time. When this place opened it was amazing, but whoever is running it now ruined it. Stay away, they will hustle you!!! ... Read more

Lindsay at Go-Store-It helped me immensely with answering my questions concerning facility access and my personal lock accessibility as I had paid my bill and covered my invoice earlier in the day I and had questions concerning regaining access to the facility and my storage space. She was professional, efficient and courteous, and assisted me with future billing and cost issues, resolving and assisting with making my future invoices less costly than it could have been. I would like to have her assist me with all my future issues or questions concerning my storage space at Go-Stoe-It if I could. Lindsay provided an outstanding customer service experience for me. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Go Store It - 1906 Bishop Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 1906 Bishop Road start from $24 and can go up to $391 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
