My review for AAAA Self Storage on Campostella Rd, Norfolk, VA. I would not recommend storing your belongings at AAAA Self Storage on Campostella Road. From the start, the customer service has been unprofessional, with little to no communication. The management staff lacks basic professionalism and do not know how to talk to customers respectfully. One of the biggest issues is the lack of transparency. My unit was infested with mice, and instead of notifying customers, we only found out when we arrived and saw the damage ourselves. There was no warning, no apology, and certainly no attempt to make things right. It’s clear that the company or at least the representatives do not care about its customers or their belongings. Additionally, the information given by staff is inconsistent—one person says one thing, and another says something completely different. There is no accountability, and it has made the entire experience frustrating and stressful. If you value your belongings and expect even basic customer service, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Storing your items here means risking damage, disrespect, and a complete lack of concern from management. Best of luck if you decide to take the chance. ... Read more

In-person customer service was great! Would have been 5-stars; however, AAAA policy does not allow for deliveries to be dropped for storage, and office staff could not be convinced that an exception was warranted. Early delivery of high-value freight nearly caused an expensive re-delivery. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by AAAA Self Storage - 625 Campostella Road start from $49 and can go up to $249 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
