I am extremely disappointed with this storage facility. When I signed up, I was assured by management that my rate would be $123 on a month-to-month lease. I’ve only been here for two months, and already my rent has been raised from $123 to $175—a massive increase that I was not prepared for. I was told one thing when I moved in, only to have the terms changed almost immediately. This feels dishonest and misleading. $175 is far beyond what I can afford, especially since I was led to believe my rate was stable. The notice I received stated, “Your business is important to us. Due to operational costs associated with providing you the best possible self-storage experience, we are instituting the minimum rate increase needed to meet the financial demands of our storage facility.” To me, a nearly $52 increase after only two months is not a “minimum” adjustment—it’s excessive and unfair. Customers deserve honesty and stability, not bait-and-switch tactics. ... Read more

Do not, I repeat DO NOT store your belongings here. They'll sell you the storage for one price, then increase the price exponentially. I am a single mom and was excited to store my things so once I move, I wouldn't have to replace a whole apartment again. But guess what? There are mice!!! I came to pull my things out of storage and there are mouse droppings on EVERYTHING!! I am literally standing in the facility crying while I write this. My baby's furniture is ruined amongst other things. According to their contract, they'll only pay$500...maybe. Go somewhere else. Edit--Of course you don't see my info. My government name isn't Danni. ... Read more

Please be cautious with renting a unit due to new management of the facility. We rented our unit starting in 2023 and it was clean, never dirty, safe, nice management/staff and well kept facility. When we moved out of our unit in 2025 we would be shocked with the horrible upkeep and events that unfolded at this facility. For starters, their elevator is constantly having problems. To the extent that we had to call 911 to get us out of the elevator due to their elevator breaking down while we were in it, and the elevator phone not working only having a busy tone- good thing we had a cell phone. Secondly, the pests are uncontrollable there. They have a rodent infestation even up on the second floor with rodent droppings all over the floors of the building as well as dead cockroaches. Our unit had over $7k worth of rodent damage to replace our items and the companies personal “Top Tier 1” insurance plan that covers 10k worth of damage ONLY covers $500 worth of rodent damage. Their third party insurance doesn’t help they only say hey you’re cleared for X amount, then when you call the management here with instructions from the insurance company that explained how to increase the amount for those damages based on what the insurance has seen the facility management doesn’t respond nor will speak with you. Super professional in dealing with customers (insert sarcasm). Do not be conned into buying it their insurance, go through a personal renters insurance company. We had NO food items in our unit by the way, only decor, souvenir’s and furniture. Their management/staff on site is not a thing anymore it’s all virtual. In order to speak to anyone you have to go through a virtual help desk and speak to people who aren’t familiar with the location or are able to visibly show them issues when they arise. They will tell you that there’s a facility technician there but each and every time we needed assistance with something at this facility NO one was there. The only way to keep the facility clean I guess is to call and complain to the customer service line because the outside trash is constantly overflowing, there’s trash in the exit hallways and throughout the buildings. Not to mention the bathrooms in the facility are absolutely disgusting and look like they are hardly maintained. There were even homeless people living outside of the facility with the emergency doors cracked open and the facility didn’t know about it until I had to call to address it. Mismanaged, poor quality service and do not uphold what they advertise when you rent a unit. Please be cautious, this facility doesn't care about their renters or their belongings, only that their business makes money. These pictures are only some of the things we lost and have seen at this facility. They don’t even send an email/letter explaining that they have a pest issue to their residents. ... Read more

I’ll start at the beginning. When I first opened a unit I was paying a price of $61 then after 4months I started getting notices saying the price increased to $140ish and that there was an additional $33 insurance that would be added from a 3rd party. It would have cost me more money and time to move to a different facility so I stayed (terrible mistake I should have left). I travel for sports and stay in a small apartment so I go to my storage unit every weekend to get my travel tent and chairs. When I opened my unit (after 2weeks of not going) I was hit with a foul smell. Turned out, there were rat dropping EVERYWHERE. I’m talking on every piece of anything in the unit. My daughter blankets were stained, rats chewed through stuff. Chairs had mildew and mold building up. There was trash wrappings dragged in by the rodents (no food was put in the storage). I grab gloves, accessing the damage, taking photos. The facility doesn’t have a manager on site so I had to call. As I’m doing so, I see Master Splinter himself. I’m talking, the rat look like a Pomeranian dog, the xtra large traps they have outside along the building (are to small) compared to the size of this rat. It stopped me dead in my tracks. Only thing I could do is close the door and put the lock back on it. After speaking with the location they don’t cover the damages, they offered my month to be half off (all they could do) and send out an exterminator. Well if you are familiar with rats you know they breed very very fast, and it’s been a week since I’ve called. So needless to say, all my daughters toys, clothes, blankets (trash). Toys, kitchen items (trash), dinning table good but chair have chew marks and feces and building up mold on them (trash). I’m to scared to even go throw everything out cause the rat will hold me captive ... Read more

I've had my storage unit for a couple of months and haven't had any issues. So far it's been the best place I've stored my things. Tonight I went to put more things in my storage unit and when I tried to unlock it, the lock wasn't on the door. I looked on the ground to see my lock was cut off of my door. My storage unit was broken into and my TV was stolen. I was in complete shock. I told Dion from the office and he came up to look. He mentioned to me that on the way up to me, he noticed other locks looked broken on other units. He went downstairs to get me another lock and see if the other ones were in fact broken into or not. He came back up with a new lock that was more durable and free of charge. He informed me the TV would be covered since I pay for insurance. I just have to submit the incident. He explained I would be emailed this information which I'm still waiting on. I asked can I see the person on camera once found out and wasn't given a straight forward answer. I'm sure the incident was caught on camera as the facility has numerous cameras and it would've been hard to hide the TV. I'm irritated as I didn't expect this. I pay for my things to be safe at a storage unit and now I don't feel comfortable having my things there. Needless to say, I will be looking at other places and will get this resolved. *UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY FROM THE OWNER* Please do not lie. I have yet to receive an email for me to file and submit the incident to insurance. I received a call a few days ago from Dion confirming my email and he stated he was about to send it over. Here I am days later and I still haven't received an email. I've checked my trash and spam folder. There is no email, but y'all were able to send me an invoice email for the next months bill. I will not pay next months bill for the simple fact I pay yall to keep my stuff safe and y'all didn't. Until I receive that email to submit the required stuff to insurance for them to pay for what was stolen, I will not pay that unit. Initially I was not going to blame GoStoreIt as they can't control everything, but the way y'all are handling the incident as if y'all don't care or as if it's not serious.... I cannot wait to get my stuff out of there ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Go Store It - 5200 West Mercury Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 5200 West Mercury Blvd start from $24 and can go up to $224 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
