I was sent a notice that I " moved out " of my unit and owed a huge balance that needed to be paid. I was not even 30 days behind on my rental I gave a partial payment. When I call I am told that my things were auctioned off the day before and to contact the property management to pick up the rest of my belongings. Per the rental agreement I was to be notified before this happened so that I would have time to settle any debt before these steps are taken. The next steps I was told to take was to call the property manager, and the expectation was a call back. I received instead an email correctly following their own policy. While I feel this is a result I can deal with, I do not think I will continue to do business with this company, who also price gouges by way of multiple late fees within a month, extra charges they are not up front with, and lack of having an employee available during normal office hours. To take it one step further the management was rude the one time I did speak with her. I can only hope she is reprimanded for her unscrupulous business tactics. I feel it was done with intent to bully for a monetary result. The misinformation provided was another awful reflection on how this company does business. ... Read more

I rented a unit a bit over two years ago for $250 a month. After a year, they increased it to $350 a month. Then after the second year, they increased it to $450 a month. Almost doubling the rent in just two years is absurd. The elevator would break and it would be weeks before it was fixed and the automatic doors have been wide open, for the last month or two, severely weakening security. I would recommend you store your belongings anywhere but here and I would give them 0 stars if I could! Edit. They tried to charge me for another month even after I’ve moved out. After they read my terrible review on their app, they ‘graciously’ removed that $400 off my account as an apology. Do not use this company for any reason! ... Read more

It does not appear to be manned facility. After the last snow storm the parking lot was dangerous and unusable. The last one I used had someone there during office hours and they kept the parking lot clear and safe. I expected better than what I experienced here. ... Read more

No one answers the phone. Leave a message and no one calls you back. It snowed nearly a week ago and the parking lot is a sheet of ice. We are having more snow in a few days and the temperature will not go above freezing for a couple of days after. How am I going to move into the storage unit when the the parking lot is a sheet of ice. ... Read more

Called weeks ago to cancel our unit - left a voicemail with my callback number and no one reached out.(I got sick and completely forgot to follow up again…) I went by their office during office hours and the doors were locked with the lights on. I tried calling and no one answered. They don’t ‘pro-rate’ the units so even though the payment is due on the first and I requested a move out date (finally saw that option online ??) of the 4th they can’t refund me for the rest of the month that won’t be used. The price of the unit went up twice since we’ve been there (which I believe was only a year…) even though our payment was on autopay so never missed. ... Read more

Storage units available at Public Storage - 8016 Rutland Center Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 8016 Rutland Center Blvd start from $78 and can go up to $235 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
