What customers are saying

Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 466 Herndon Pkwy, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Do not brings you personal belongings here. This is a very disappointing Public Storage location. The customer service was rude and unhelpful, and it felt like no one cared about resolving issues. Prices kept changing without clear explanations, and getting answers was way harder than it should be. The facility itself wasn’t as clean or well-maintained as advertised either. Overall, not worth the stress or the money. I would not recommend this location to anyone looking for reliable storage. ... Read more

No one is ever there at the office. I wanted to return the lock but no one was there when I checked in. Stopped by multiple times but the office is always empty. Found someone a month later and their system was not working. Now they won’t let us return it saying you should have done it while checking in. ... Read more

Hardly anyone is ever there in the office. You can call but you end up leaving a message and waiting for a call. I've had my unit for over a year and I missed 1 payment only and I was locked out of the property and told to bring cash. When I showed up no one was there. Yeah yall care. It shows. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 466 Herndon Pkwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 24 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 466 Herndon Pkwy start from $59 and can go up to $390 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
