HORRIBLE AND ABUSIVE OWNER MARK!!!!!! Mark actually got in my face and called me names saying that I was lazy and needed to act like a grownup because I was "late with rent". Ummm NO I wasn't "late". I told Katie, the manager who doesn't do her job properly, that I wasn't paying anymore rent until my door was fixed on my unit! I had told Katie for about 6 months that my door was barely able to be lifted because it was off track and once I had gotten it open it had actually fallen on me, hit me on the shoulder and knocked me outside of the unit! Mark said he hadn't been told and that I must be a liar! I'm not a liar! I had talked with 3 employees there at Ace Hardware, also Mark's, about the issue and not one person ever fixed it! I had to cancel days at the flea market because I couldn't get in my unit! Horrible Horrible owner and manager!!!! I'm SOOOOO thankful for the new hardware store, Taylor's, at the Point!! Good staff, good prices and NO ABUSE GIVEN BY THE OWNER TO CUSTOMERS!! ... Read more

I have had my items in storage here for about three years. It is reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for, I guess. Difficult to access your stuff, because of the limited hours it is open. There is no option to pay other than in person or over the phone, and there are no reminders if you forget or are late, but there are late fees. The staff has been rude to me there on multiple occasions.I have gone when it was supposed to be open, and it's not. Also, make sure to take your own flashlight with you, because the lights are dim inside, and sometimes out completely. And there is air conditioning, but it's set at something like 85, so it's always hot inside. Can't wait to get my stuff out next month and never have to deal with them again! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Marks Mini Storage - 2384 Hayes Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Unstaffed Location and Credit Cards Accepted. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
