Carla is an absolute pleasure to work with regarding obtaining a storage unit. She is thoughtful and thorough. She communicates clearly. I have had lousy experiences with storage facilities. Carla’ s light shines bright. I could not be more pleased and grateful. ... Read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Public Storage this past weekend. My account was charged twice, and the delay in getting a refund created serious issues — I couldn’t buy food or gas because of it. It was stressful and completely avoidable with better customer care and clearer policies. When I called customer service, the reps were unhelpful and didn’t seem to understand the process. On top of that, while I was at the location, another customer came in upset because the unit he was assigned had rat feces. It really made me question the cleanliness and overall management. The on-site manager was professional and tried to help, but the experience as a whole was frustrating and unacceptable. I’m now looking into other storage options and will likely move my things to a business that values customers more and takes better care of their facilities. ... Read more

Went in Thursday to pay my unit bill and inquired about the rate increase. Susan, the lady at the front desk was very helpful and answered every question I had and got me the information I needed due to phone issues. She even sent something off on the spot and was able to get the rate reduced for three months. Greatly appreciate her time and help. Thank you! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1205 West Pembroke Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1205 West Pembroke Avenue start from $82 and can go up to $785 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
