If I could leave a negative star I would. I rented a storage unit from them for an extended period of time. I went to upgrade to a bigger unit only to discover in the two week time frame I had not been to my unit had been broken into and thousands of dollars worth of items stolen. To top it off I spoke with the person in the office who said he had walked by my unit about a week prior to me discovering this and noticed the lock was gone. He opened the unit an item fell out, broke, and he then shoved it back in and carried on. No one called to tell me the item broke or they my lock was gone they just went about their day like nothing had happened, but hey they got their rent from me every month. They also have signs saying “your being watched” on the ends of the units. Truth be told they have one camera which watches the drive in and nothing else! Your items aren’t safe here and the signs give false hope that if something does happen they have your back. The staff was less than helpful or even regretful that the incident had occurred. I will never rent anything from them again whether it be a storage unit or piece of equipment. Despicable service and giving the false hope of security makes it worst. I have filed a report with the Sheriff’s Office but I know there is no hope when it comes to getting my items back. My understanding is their tool rental side has several drivers who appear to be less than trustworthy which leads me to believe this may have employees who knew routines and camera placement for the one camera that kinda faces the units. When I reported my incident to the office they told me they had received several complaints that were similar to mine but did not seemed concerned nor did they alert anyone!! Take your business elsewhere!!!!! ... Read more

I found space here for my extra boxes, etc., when I moved to the area last year. The price is reasonable and the place is well kept. The unit is plenty large enough - one of their larger units I believe. I like its location beside the other business they own. Someone is there most of the time and they have cameras watching the storage areas. They don’t do auto payments from one’s bank account but do provide a set of payment coupons. I usually just take my check by their office each month since I pass there often. It’s nice to see the staff in the office and know my stored items are in good hands. They are very courteous and efficient. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Place - 790 SE Side Hwy include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access and Unstaffed Location. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
