Today, I was contacted by the new RV Storage site owner, Tom Schroeder, as he mentioned below. He was very cordial and he was so enthusiastic about taking over the business. He took care of our need right away and he spoke of new improvements that he was thinking about instituting. He was very professional and customer service oriented. We are so excited about this new management and are happy to recommend the RV Storage site staff! Thank you Mr Schroeder for jumping into action to rectify our small issue! He said that new contact information to follow shortly. Tom and Roxanne Carroll (Previous review) Customer Service is non-existent! We rent a space there and we have attempted to contact anyone who represents the office. We were attempting to change a space with one that became open. No one is ever in the office. We have called the phone number on the website and have always received a voicemail box "that is full" message. Emails sent to the website contact address have never been answered. How can a business operate like this? We pay monthly rent and the use our lot. However, no one can be contacted at this business. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Skyline Storage - 17817 Mount Pleasant Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access and Unstaffed Location. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
