Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 3281 Western Branch Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This is the most amazing storage facility I have ever used. Roy in the office is very professional, helpful, and kind. The property is clean, well maintained, and I had no problems at all. Payments and everything are done online as well as you can start your rental online too. If I need a storage unit again this is where I am coming. Prices are fair and even after dark I feel safe. ... Terrible storage space, most of my things were ruined and some things missing. They cut the lock I purchased off of my unit and replaced without telling me. Sent an email stating that my storage unit was unlocked and unsecured. Would not recommend! ... Read more

My storage unit was dirty with appearance of mold on the dilapidated roof lining and there was barely any maneuverability with a 6x12 uhaul trailer with a standard truck. After a few months, they wanted to raise the fee by 39%. I had only stayed initially because of the rate and not having the time to find another unit, pay for extension of the uhaul, and move my stuff again. But this increase is enough to move. I have never experienced this type of increase so soon after renting a unit. ... Read more

We are super excited to have found this perfect storage unit for our daughter's college items. It was super easy and convenient to move in. We were texted the gate access code and the key and lock was waiting ready inside of the storage unit. Thanks to Roy this storage location will be our go to as long as our daughter is attending Hampton University. ... Read more

Every 6mo they raise the rent over 40%. I rented a 10x20 at $130 and 1.5 years later they want to raise it for the 3rd time to $300. The units are rat infested and all of my belongings are covered in rat feces, they broke the glass on my wine fridge going into my unit without permission, there's no way to contact corporate, customer service just reroutes you back to the property, and they'll only give you 3mo of an increase reprieve but only once a year, while they raise the rent twice a year. Insurance doesn't nearly cover the cost of the damage to my property. It seems I can't attach pictures to my review, but you'd be absolutely disgusted to see what the inside of my unit looks like. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3281 Western Branch Blvd include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3281 Western Branch Blvd start from $51 and can go up to $313 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
