Great secluded location directly off I-464 just up from I-64 & S. Military Hwy. Plenty of open space between unit bldgs. Very clean, well maintained, and very good customer service from manager Robin, who is very helpful, friendly, and supportive. Even my non climate control unit has never been as warm inside as with my previous so called "Climate controlled" indoor units at a much higher rate with Extra Space, and offer a better lease rate with a more realistic / reasonable and only annual rate adjustment. ... The staff is nice . They had an issue with the gate which seems to be resolved. Easy to pay remotely by phone. Pretty good RV parking. They should have some incentives for long term rentals. My RV has been parked there for years. They do raise prices rather frequently. ... Read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but there is no way that I can not leave one after the amazing experience that I've at AAAA on Freeman Ave. in Norfolk, Va. By far, Robin provided me with the best customer service that I have had when renting a storage unit. I've rented units from Extra Space Storage, Jack Rabit, and Uhauls U-Box portable storage. I've even rented storage units from AAAA on S. Military Hwy. in Chesapeake, VA. While I have no complaints about my customer service experience at the S. Military storage facility, as they were nice and always there when I needed them, I just can't speak highly enough about the service that Robin provided me with. She is super friendly, personable and she really does care about you as an individual. I'm grateful that I went to the Freeman location. As long as she is there and I'm still in this area, I will not be looking anywhere else for my storage needs! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at AAAA Self Storage - 504 Freeman Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 552 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by AAAA Self Storage - 504 Freeman Avenue start from $64 and can go up to $451 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
