There is no way anyone left more than a 1 star review for this place that wasn't paid or coerced to do so. I'll upload a video or take more pictures next time so you can see the condition of this storage place for yourself. There was nobody at the front desk from 1pm to 430pm and based on multiple people that were there before me, nobody was there before 130pm either. I left multiple messages the day of the move and nobody called me back until 24 hours later. We needed a smaller unit than originally planned due to downsizing. I said it was urgent in the message since we were on our way there with the movers but that didn't matter. We didn't get a call back until the next day after they moved our things inside. It's concerning that you can't reach anyone in the event of an emergency. My movers said couldn't get their truck into the loading zone because they suddenly put a 12.5 foot clearance bar after 15 years of allowing 13 foot trucks. They had to unload outside of the gate and deal with entering a code every single time they needed to go inside and out. An earlier reviewer who described this place as a "hell pit" was very accurate. It does not feel climate controlled. The units are very dark. The entire space is dirty. People have discarded their trash in the parking lot and the wind blows it everywhere. I will not be leaving my things there for more than a couple of weeks until I can arrange for it to be moved again. ... Read more

I had a terrible experience with this Public Storage location. First of all, management never answers the phone — no matter how many times you call. There’s no one available on-site either, which makes it impossible to get help when you need it. The gate door wasn’t working, and I ended up getting stuck there for over an hour. No one showed up to help, and I couldn't get any assistance because, again, they don't answer calls. This place feels completely unmanaged and unreliable. If you're looking for a storage facility where your time and safety are respected, look elsewhere. ... Read more

Customer service by Brian has been so helpful. When I had a miscommunication regarding my original reservation, he helped me book at this location and worked to refund me quickly. When I lost my key, he helped me locate a locksmith quickly. Brian called me several days later to check in. He's an asset to the company. ... Read more

You can't go wrong if you decide to rent a storage space here. The property manager, BRIAN, is absolutely amazing! He is super helpful and knowledgeable about the units and property. When I was trying to decide on a unit size, he was very good at helping me figure out which one was best for my needs. The storage property is clean and so are the hallways, even after people have moved. I've never had a problem with rodents or insects. I really like renting here. Brian and hisstaff are always nice and friendly and they always provide great customer service, especially Brian. I always have great interactions with them when I go to the office. And if I have any questions or concerns, they are always super helpful and able to help me. I highly recommend renting here. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 398 Long Bridge Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 398 Long Bridge Drive start from $86 and can go up to $344 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
