Around 4pm, I stopped by CubeSmart today to check pricing and look at units, and I left genuinely impressed because of Cody. I even reserved a unit given my experience.
From the moment I walked through the door, he didn’t waste a second. He greeted me warmly and made me feel welcomed right away. My time with Cody wasn't transactional. It felt personal. It was personal!!
What stood out most was how much care he took in the conversation. He not only answer my questions, he asked thoughtful ones. He wanted to understand what I actually needed, not just show me what was available. He listened, anticipated concerns I hadn’t even voiced yet, and met me exactly where I was ...practically and realistically.

When I went to rent a storage space at the Arlington Virginia facility in early February, Cody was extremely helpful. He explained everything. He took me to see the loading dock and the elevator and the space that a colleague had reserved for my organization. And then he explained the billing process.

I was looking at climate controlled self storage options near Shirlington and stopped by CubeSmart today, even though I planned to book online. I'm glad I did. First, the facility is modern, clean, and very conveniently located. Second, I worked with Cody who made the entire experience excellent from start to finish. This is my second storage unit at this facility. At one point or another, I have dealt with all the individuals who work here, including Cody and Alex. Without exception they have all been extremely helpful. I am not good with technology but everyone was patient with me. This unit is the forever home for some of our treasured memories. I rented a unit online at the Shirlington location in Arlington VA. I was able to get my items in that same day, after hours. The unit was empty and clean. I did have to buy my own lock since it was after hours in the office was closed. But the place was temperature controlled and clean and the elevators were huge and always accessible. They also had flatbed dollies available to move your stuff around which came in clutch. The extended hours we're perfect for my situation.
Upon moving out the process was simple and Alex took care of me, I appreciate him being on top of things over there!

I give four stars because I haven’t actually done business with them yet. However, my conversation with the manager, Alex, has been excellent. The facilities were clean, and the temperature and humidity levels were quite acceptable. The storage units look easily accessible, as well as the elevators. Had a very efficient and friendly visit today, and the total storage charges struck me as reasonable and lower than expected. My wife and I were helped by Alex, who even provided impromptu and useful suggestions on how to navigate the various tabs of my insurance app when submitting required documentation. My 3rd story indoor unit was broken into. Someone used a crowbar to bend the metal door slide with the lock still on. The front door to the building was smashed down. I never received a notification from the storage facility letting me know the building had been compromised.
The workers stated they have no way to send out a mass notification and handle things on a case by case basis. I am the first one to report anything stolen. I imagine there are others who don't know.
Do not store your valuable items here. My grandfathers watch will never be replaced. The workers are too far removed from upper management to care. Please go somewhere else. ... Read more

I rented a unit at CubeSmart for two years, and my experience was deeply disappointing. The intercom in the annex building never worked, making it difficult to reach staff—who were often unavailable. In February, I visited my unit for the first time in six months to find that the sliding doors to the building were broken, creating a serious security risk. Because the intercom was still inoperable, I had to call the main number from my cell phone and wait on hold for several minutes, only to be told the doors had been broken for weeks. Staff advised me to simply pull the doors open.
At no point did CubeSmart inform renters that their units were vulnerable or that unauthorized individuals could have accessed the building. This complete lack of communication and security is unacceptable, especially given that CubeSmart charges DOUBLE the price of its competitors. Despite their premium rates, they offer no incentives for loyal customers to stay. I have moved on to a more secure, better priced, better rated, and better managed storage facility just ten minutes away. ... Read more

Was probably once a very nice facility but now the outside is always cluttered with trash, the carpets are never vacuumed, the bathroom is only cleaned upon request and is absolutely filthy. I’ve even witnessed large flying cockroaches in the hallway. Meanwhile management is usually just sitting at the front desk on their phone or walking around outside seemingly avoiding the trash piles, lol.
