I am beyond frustrated with Storage Units of America. After over a week of snow, the lot still wasn’t cleared properly, making it nearly impossible to access my unit. As a business owner, this directly affects my livelihood. I rely on being able to load and unload efficiently, not play obstacle course in a frozen parking lot. My truck got stuck TWICE because the snow and ice weren’t cleared, and instead of being able to pull up to my unit, I was forced to park all the way across the lot and haul my items through snow and slush. Why am I paying premium prices if I can’t even be front and center at my own unit? This is not just inconvenient — it’s unprofessional and careless. If you’re going to charge high rates, the bare minimum should be safe, accessible property maintenance. Poor snow removal can cost customers time, money, and even damage vehicles. Extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this location to anyone who actually needs reliable access to their storage, especially business owners EDIT: my partner got stuck trying to leave as well and the people in the front office REFUSED to let him use the shovel “ because they were about to close” AS IF THEY COULDNT BE DECENT HUMAN BEINGS and let him use it for five mins to get out.. ... Edit 10/3/25- I thought that I was paying for my first months rent as well as the prorated amount for the remainder of September, this is what the rep asked me when I was paying. I was surprised to receive an email today letting me know that my storage payment for this month was due.. So glad that no late fees were asessed. I was a little worried when I made the reservation online because no one from the location ever called me to confirm that they received the online reservation. I called the day before I was scheduled to move in to confirm the reservation. I was informed that I should arrive after 10:30am because they usually make a bank run first thing in the morning. I arrived a little after 11:10am right as staff were returning from a bank run. They were super helpful which made the process easy to get moved in. Definitely a good location & monthly price for my budget. ... Read more

I don’t recommend to put your stuff in here . My storage door was broken . The guy transfer me to another unit . He didn’t tell me witch lock I need for my unit he just told me told me to get a lock I went to homedepot 2 times to get a lock cylinder because they don’t have no more in stock … and they only accept cash . The guy was not helpful . Bad costumer service . I have my 8 year old in the car with my stuff in my car to put the stuff in the unit but I can’t since they don’t have lock and they didn’t give me much information where I can get lock cylinder beside Home Depot . I already paid and I can put my stuff in there already passed 3 days and I’m paying for a storage that I’m not using … my stuff still in my car … . I already contact costumer service they don’t give much information .no solution . Nobody wants to help . I ask to speak with the manager they don’t pick up the phone . When I told them i wanna put a complain . I’m so disappointed with this service . Nobody haven’t contacted me yet ….. ... Read more

UPDATED REVIEW FOLLOWING FEEDBACK FROM SROA: Their District Team Lead, Jessica Weaver, gave me a call following their below response to discuss pricing and the facility. She did a very great job of working with me and helping lower the rate from the potential $337 increase from $259, to offering me a $175 rate for the troubles. I have agreed with this and after discussions with her I agreed to update my review with this feedback, but I did advise I was not able to move it to 5 stars due to the still constant issues with the grounds of the facility. But 5 star customer service for sure for following through quickly and giving me the rate offered. With facility improvement it will for sure be 5 stars, which I'll gladly update it to. I am leaving some of the original review just for background to see what the Team Lead helped with. Edited Original Review: Storage rate began 9/2022 at $61/m for first 3 month promo than went to $122. Increased to $197 in 2/2023, then $230 8/2023, then $259 6/2024. And before the assistance of the District Team Lead, it was going to jump to $337 starting 9/2025 (see new review above). The facility needs a lot of work on the grounds, especially the 10 foot long pothole. Pavement on the roads around the units are not fantastic and could be better, it is still not climate controlled or anything. I'm a retired and 100% disabled veteran and they don't even offer anything to help with the cost of these units to us. They only offer discounts for Active-Duty military. ... Read more

The person that works the desk is very nice and accommodating - if the rating were based on his customer service, it would be 5 stars. The lower rating is due to the quality of the establishment. The prices are arguably lower than everywhere else, but that is warranted. The units are old, and all exposed to the elements, in a way that one would not expect. Additionally there are no lights within the units at all. The overall condition of the facilities are in a state of disrepair. The security fencing is falling apart, and there is no regard for any sense of rules. When I was there, a person had a full worksite set up in and around his unit. He had hotwired electricity from the outdoor lighting. To make matters worse, when I moved into my unit, it was filled with trash from the previous renter. My suggestion is to spend a little more money and go to any of the other dozen storage unit places within a 1 mile radius. ... Read more

Came by Xmas Eve of all days and Ean the representative was about to close up for the day. He was more than happy to help me with my storage rental and was extremely patient. He took the time to explain all the specials and even showed me two different spaces just so I could be sure what size I needed. It’s not often these days to be able to experience great customer service especially on the Eve of Christmas when most staff members are eager to leave! Great experience! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 4900 Eisenhower Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 4900 Eisenhower Avenue start from $21 and can go up to $552 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
