This place is great! They have so many cameras to make sure your belongings are safe. I was in a financial bind last year. I had surgery and I was out of work for 2-3 months. They were more than willing to help me out but making smaller payments and able to keep my stuff. They will go over and beyond to help you out!! ... Read more

I moved out on the 2nd of the month. I was billed the entire month because of not giving them the 15 day notice. I could understand if they charged for 15 days but a whole month not using the unit and still being charged. Also we noticed when we moved out it looked like someone tried to break into our unit their not that great at being secure. Disappointing. ... Read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE service!!! I have had a storage unit here for 8 years. My bank sends a check that arrives the first of every month. That said, I received a letter from Beehive Storage stating that I was late on my payment for the month, which doesn't happen, so I called my bank and they confirmed that they sent the check. I then called Beehive Storage and a woman answered. I asked what her name was and she replied, "You've called Beehive Storage" to which I replied, yes I know, I would like to speak with the manager. She then said, "I am the manager." So again, I asked for her name and she finally told me that it was Reyna. I explained to Reyna that I received her "late notice" and that it was strange because my bank automatically sends the check so that it arrives on the first of every month. She said that must be lost in the mail because we don't have it. So I then called my bank and put a stop payment on the check and drove down to the Beehive Storage to pay for the month. While I was in the office I asked if she would be willing to waive my late fee given the circumstances to which she said "No." I then asked "why not?" and she said, "Because I don't waive late fees when you are late." I then said, "Reyna, put yourself in my shoes for a moment and just think about the situation. The check is mailed to you every month, and has been that way for 8 years." She didn't budge, so I reluctantly paid the late fee and said, that I would be writing a review of my experience and she replied, "Yeah go ahead." Because of my experience, I am now going to find a new storage unit where they deliver a better customer and appreciate a loyal customer. ... Read more

Honestly, I never write reviews but this place was THAT bad. Worst storage unit I have ever used. My husband and I moved and needed a place to keep our stuff for a couple of months. Everywhere was filled up besides this place, and now I know why. Our unit was broken into and almost everything was stolen. We had the police come and talk to the management about getting all of the security footage. (They say they have cameras with 24 hour surveillance, but they don’t). We asked multiple times and after just never calling us back they finally said that the owner doesn’t know the password to access his own footage. They could probably be sued for false advertising. When dealing with management the woman in particular is one of the rudest and most inconvenienced people I’ve ever dealt with. We never ended up getting any information or footage. Our insurance company called multiple times and nobody would help them either. A few weeks later we got some information that ten other units were broken into that month. Obviously not the right choice if you’re looking for a unit! ... Read more

I have rented a unit for 3+ years now. They are between managers and Carol White the Management company I am assuming representative handled the recent situation very poorly. They were repairing the roof on the building where my unit is. There was no notification to anyone. During the repair it rained very hard. Needless to say my unit was soaked. There was water damage to my unit and my things in the unit. Now you sign a contract that they are not responsible for any damages to the contents due to fire, water, and such. So basically you should carry your own insurance which I do and recommend anyone renting a storage unit do. The part that I am most disappointed in is the fact that I was not notified and after damage happened Carol’s blatant disregard for the amount of effort that it is going to take to clean my unit and my belongings. At the very least I feel that she should have offered me at the minimum one month free rent. She didn’t even have the courtesy to call me but, responded by mail giving me a copy of my contract showing that I agreed to cover the belongings myself. I didn’t agree to cover my belongings against damage caused by them doing repairs to their facility without notifying me. I will not recommend this place to anyone and furthermore will go out of my way to discourage people to rent here just for the way Carol handled the situation. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Beehive Storage - 2260 South 800 West include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
