Prime Storage is a rip off! I had a storage unit with Extra Space Storage until Prime Storage bought that location and they didn't even notify me by mail where to send my payment. I finaly got a statement in the mail and mailed a check to them in the full amount even though they jacked up their rent fee by 25%. A week later the check I mailed to them was sent back to me. I called to ask why they sent the check back and Austin said that my account has been closed and my belongings were actioned off! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I was forced to give them one star in order post my review. ... Read more

I pointed out to the manager, Tyler, that Unit 432 had the wrong dimensions and asked that the dimensions be corrected before I sign the lease. While I was waiting for that to happen, Tyler was out of the office, and corporate rented it to someone else, despite the fact that I was calling the office every day to see if I could rent it with the correct dimensions. I question this company's ethics. They have frequent cost increases as well. I'll start looking again. ... Read more

Everyone who has helped me has been very kind and courteous! I have worked with the manager, Tyler, and he was professional and helpful. I love that my unit is drive up and I can access it even when the office is closed. Tyler usually answers the phone and even the woman who stepped in for him in his absence was very informative and kind. They both helped me out with my needs and working in my budget, answering questions and resolving any concerns I had. I appreciate good customer service- and they have it here. Thanks! ... Read more

I was super excited about moving my storage out of Tooele but come to find out their rates aren’t guaranteed and they will go up. I have been paying the same price for 4 1/2 years. I feel they would get more business if they gave a price and didn’t fluctuate prices. But other then that my experience wasn’t to bad. But because of the price fluctuating I didn’t end up moving storage units. A real shame. ... Read more

Pricing was great and customer service was amazing. We only left because we moved to eagle Mountain. I was always provided help if I forgot my code to get into the gate and we never had any issues with trash laying around, unlike those other storage places. Also, ask for Sherri. She was always a great help!!! Highly recommend! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Prime Storage (UT15) - 3947 South State Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
