Read some helpful reviews of Trolley Trax Storage at 1901 West 820 North, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I recently terminated my storage unit at Trolly Trax, but I have continued receiving invoices for two months after canceling. During the four years I rented from this facility, while living out of state, my unit was never secure. Even with a lock, the door could easily be slid open. I reported this issue to management multiple times, and each time I was told it would be “taken care of,” but nothing was ever fixed. At one point, they added another lock, but the door still did not secure properly. Because I lived out of state, I had to rely on their word that the unit “appeared locked,” when in reality anyone could have opened it at any time. In addition to the security failure, the property had a severe rodent infestation. Mice and rats chewed through plastic bins and destroyed thousands of dollars’ worth of my belongings; including ski gear, boots, camping equipment, tents, and books. Everything was ruined and turned into a massive rodent nest. In May of this year (2025), I informed the office that June would be my final month (since it was a month-to-month contract). I also reminded them of the unresolved lock issue. I paid people to clean out the ruined contents on my behalf, since I was out of state. Despite ending my rental, I am still receiving invoices. I have time stamped documented images and videos of my units condition. I also have records of phone calls made to the office. This was four years of wasted money. My belongings were never secure, management neglected repeated complaints, and the facility’s conditions caused total loss of my property. On top of that, I am now being wrongfully billed after canceling. I am considering legal action to recover my losses. Avoid this place at all costs ... Read more

We have been renting spaces for more than 2 years and they had all our equipment and our employees vehicles towed from parking spots that we have paid for. They said it was because we left trash in one of our spots but it wasn’t even our garbage but things left in our spots by other people. They didn’t notify us or anything until after they called the towing company. 4 vehicles and 2 trailers that were parked in our designated spots. We lost a whole day of work, lots of stress, and we had to take our employees home and bring them back because they didn’t have their cars. The managers, Erika and Jon said that they weren’t going to work with us and that they weren’t going to respond because Erika called us on her personal phone but it’s her personal phone so she won’t answer there. They shut the door on our faces and won’t answer any calls or emails to the office phone or work email. Don’t work with them. Big headache. ... Read more

We rented a unit on November 4, 2017. We were first given a unit that was already filled with no lock on it. We were told that they had not paid and the stuff in the unit would be going to a yard sale. Then Trolley Trax Storage changed ours to another unit. They did not change the number in their records even though we had paid for 6 months. When we went to the storage unit, our lock was gone. We removed everything from the storage unit only to find out that the guy that runs the place cut the lock off, (left it open for anyone) because they had their records wrong. My receipt shows the correct unit number. When asked who the owner of Trolley Trax Storage was, the manager was rather rude and would not give it to us. If I could give them a lower rating I would. ... Read more

The price is right, but you can never get in contact with anyone. no one is ever in the office, even during office hours, and talking to someone on the phone is next to impossible. we are signed up for automatic withdrawal and when we went to access our stuff, we were locked out due to non-payment but no attempts have even been made on our account for 2 months! and of course, we cannot get a hold of anyone to fix it. ... Horrible storage unit. The price is decent, but the managers are never home, the concrete is very cracked, the place is dusty and dirty, and my storage unit reeked of motor oil. I gave them my written notice 10 days prior to vacating, like they requested, but they kept charging me for months. When I called, they said the refund would come via check and would take up to 30 days. Their process is very outdated, requiring way too many paper forms. It's 2013 people, modernize a little. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Trolley Trax Storage - 1901 West 820 North include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
