It truly was so easy to reserve the unit online. I paid over the phone with agent and received my gate code and unit with their app. I had a few questions and went to the office and the staff and manager were awesome. When I went to check out my unit the place was really nice and clean. I enjoy the water fountain they have. On move in, I was apprehensive about whether the 26 foot truck would fit as some places have narrow isles. Thier wasn't any reason for me to stress. Super wide isles and plenty of room for the corners with no backing up needed. I am really pleased with how super easy everything went and look forward to doing business with them. ... Read more

Absolute worst storage unit company in Utah and possibly the entire country!! They purchased the storage unit I was renting from the local owners and immediately started corporate everything. And the price spikes without any warning whatsoever were just a special treat! My unit went from $180 a month to 260 overnight! When I called to inquire what was going on, they told me that the price went up because it was their busy season??? And that they had sent me a notice which they absolutely did not. ... Read more

I was a customer with this place for quite a few years and I was extremely happy with them it was fairly priced and they gave me no problems but then the guy sold it to a big corporate company which I didn't mind just as long as they were respectful and kind but one day I get a charge for double the price for the unit. To me that was weird cause I never got a notification of a price increase. They had my email address. So I go to them and they act like it was a mistake and they lowered it to quite a bit higher than I was originally paying they gave me a credit for the next months rent then I found out that they mailed me a notification of the price increase. I never check my mail so it got lost. I ended up finding it and it was as small of a letter they could do. I find that to be a shady business practice. They could have easily emailed me. In fact they did email me when I moved out of that unit. They were hoping for me not to notice the price increase and just keep paying double the payments. If I could give these guys a 0 star I would. Don't go here. ... Read more

Can’t say enough positive things about the manager ( Brenda ) and her team at this location. Having to help move my daughter out of her apartment in between semesters, coming from out of state, Brenda made things so easy. Dealing with happy enthusiastic people willing to actually help solve concerns is refreshing. Would recommend highly. ... Read more

I have rented a space at this location since the 1990's. Extra Space Storage bought the facility a few months ago and this month I received a notice that they were going to raise my rental fee from $140 to $220 (I'm not kidding). I am moving out this weekend, there is no way I'll support such blatant greed. Their website is offering a below market rate to suck people in, but if my experience is any indication, the rent will jump up by leaps and bounds very quickly. Save yourself the trouble of having to move your stuff twice. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Extra Space Storage - 1715 South State Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 48 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Extra Space Storage - 1715 South State Street start from $55 and can go up to $281 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
