I had two storage units that I emptied when we moved into our new house. I was busy and kept putting off cancelling. Then I get a call saying they noticed they were empty and canceled my contract. That’s awesome! Out of sight/out of mind. They could have charged me for a couple months but didn’t. Will definitely do business here again. ... Read more

Camillia is without a doubt the worst owner and operator I’ve ever dealt with. If I could give zero stars, I would. She’s always sneaking in hidden fees and locked me out of my unit on the second of the month. When rent is due on the first, late on the fifth. Just so she could charge another fee! Ugh. She’s conniving and dishonest and awful to her customers. The units smell like mice and she lets homeless people live inside the gates in broken down trailers. If it wasn’t December and the middle of a snow storm, I’d move my stuff out today. Do NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. ... Read more

Raise the rates with out informing tenants. Driveways are cluttered with trailers, the driveways don't get plowed well and turn to ice. Gutters aren't cleaned so when it melts it drips on you while trying to access your unit. ... Read more

I have rented a storage unit here for the past 7 years or so. Never had a problem with security. It was inconvenient when the gate was broken for awhile at one time, but other than that it is clean and the office has been friendly when I have needed them. I don't understand the low rating someone gave. It is accessible, clean, secure as far as my experience goes and reasonable. ... Read more

I have had a storage unit for several years and have recommended and will continue to recommend others to this business. Although the company changed hands a while back, to me it was seamless. I did have a problem with a bill pay check not being delivered and they took the time to contacted me right away when they realized my payment had not been received as per normal. They have been very helpful when I have had reason to call. My only concern, somebody ran into the entry gate and busted out the entire gate. It took longer then I would have liked to get the gate repaired to complete the normal security. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Pioneer Self Storage - 1055 North Main Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and Credit Cards Accepted. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
