Chuck at the Murray office went above and beyond to ensure I received the best price and the right unit for my needs. Both he and Shawn took the time to thoroughly explain all the terms, fees, and due dates, making sure I understood everything clearly. I truly appreciate their professionalism, patience, and exceptional customer service! ... Read more

The manager Chuck was extremely condescending. He would sit there and stare at the live recording of two women that were loading up a Uhaul which I found pretty creepy. I had the opportunity to talk with an employee that was under the manager whom of which I had the best experience with, I had mentioned that I had found a Rolex in my storage unit to said employee. When I came in to return my cart the manager asked if I had really found the Rolex, I said yes and he asked if he could buy it from me. I told him no, not to him and I turned and asked the other employee if he would be working the next day. Immediately the manager chimes in and says that he wouldn't give me a cart for the next day because I wouldn't sell him the Rolex. If I had to use this place again while this manager was still his position I wouldn't. ... Read more

I am very disappointed in this facility. I got a unit for some items I needed stored for a while. Sometime between month 1 and month 2 of being there my unit was missing items. They claimed it had been too long for the cameras to still have any footage as they are in a loop of some sort and just record over other video recordings. They told me I was mistaken and even had the audacity to tell me I should have kept a log with everything in it so I wouldn’t forget what I put in the space. They belittled me, made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience even though it was my stuff that was stolen. I even was paying the insurance on the unit but Chris completely dismissed my concerns about how my stuff was missing from a secure space. He said the insurance I was paying was actually just a rate increase. This Chris guy is a scammer and liar. And I honestly think he or his people were involved and that’s why I was treated so horribly and dismissed. I will be filing a police report as well as contacting Coorprate and KSL to make sure this doesn’t happen to someone else. Buyers beware of this place. ... Read more

Obviously they pay for positive reviews. They're running a racket. They will offer you a price then double it within a few months and dare you to come get your stuff and move out. I've had my things there less than a year and they've already raised the rates 3 times. I did some research on them, and apparently their business model is to make money charging fees for people to move in and move out... so they offer what seems like a fair rate to get you in, then just keep raising the rates until you give up and come get your stuff. It's perfect because they either get to charge astronomically higher rates than the spaces are worth, or they get you to move out and then they get to charge the fees to the new people. Disgustingly unethical business practices and everybody who works there should be ashamed of themselves. ... Read more

Sadly we also got suckered in by a reasonable rate and 2 months late they literally doubled it. Naturally once your stuff is there you feel stuck because it’s either move all of your stuff again or pay double what you expected to pay. It’s no wonder that there are so many units that are locked out to their customers for not paying because they expect to pay a rate and then get slapped with double that a couple months later. This is horrible. ... Read more

They get you to rent from them at a reasonable/good price. Within 3 to 6 months, they will raise your bill by up to at least 60 dollars or more, no warning at all. And the sad thing is that while the big corporation does these to people like me and you the let there poor workers on sight have to hear all the BS because the company is just greedy and should be shut down ..... So far so good. Just got a rental yesterday so really can’t say much. Reservation went well. Have good advise telling my daughter to use a new person name to get another unit so no discount coupons get voided. The employee was decent. The unit ground was not the best it looked like it had some kind of spill stain. Will update if need be as time progress. Thank you! ... Read more

I am a disabled gal with very limited income. I needed a storage and secure had one for a price I had hoped I could do, however, things happened and I went to the manager and asked him for an exception on my bill monthly. Instead of my bill going up to $109.00 from 66.00 could he let me keep it cheaper. He said he would ask his higher ups and call me by the end of the week. I called 4 or so times and could never get him but when I did finally he said no answer about my request yet. 3.5 weeks later I finally got an answer from him but not before the price increase to 138.00 or something like that went into effect. So my answer was they would let me pay the $109.00. this did nothing more than stress me out. I called again to discuss this and could not speak to the store management again I had to speak to another helpful guy who suggested I move into a smaller unit which I have no choice but to do and it's not easy for me being disabled and now it's cold. The unit is fine and the grounds are suitable but in the summer I went to do some work there bringing with me a friend. She had to use the bathroom so came to find out she had to walk pretty far back to the office to use the bathroom but when she was there an employee told her to hurry up because he was closing. Just as rude as rude can be. She too is very disabled and I think a once is kindness would have given this long walk a little less pain. maybe they could install a bathroom closer to the units with all that money they are charging. It would be extremely welcomed. *********UPDATE******* So the time came, as I knew it would that I couldn't come up with the monies this place decided I owed, I say decided because when I was told that Corp. would work with me on my price, they refused me come to find out! But I called the store I'm at and talked to the managers second I'm command I'm assuming, he helped me more than anyone has even tried. Thank you for caring! But after my last review Corp. wrote me asking me to call them so they could discuss my problem and when I did?? they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about making me feel like a fool so thanks secure self storage for that and everything else you've so kindly helped me with. I am a senior, disabled, woman and that's how we're treated not just here but many other places and it's awful. We didn't live our lives helping the youth get where they are just to be ignored and treated like we don't matter. WOW!! I hope this isn't how they treat all their customers I mean to charge you $140.00+/- a month for a 5x10 +/- space to keep their all our lose it just tells me where we are as human beings. Shameful **Update number 2** I am and was current on my bill to these people and they kept calling and telling me I was not. And no matter how many times I would can correct them they would call back again and again. Then, I got a demand for payment from them!!!! I could not believe this and upon calling them about it, the girl I spoke to had no information for me and I was left with a terrible taste in my mouth for this, one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing, company!! WOW!! Poor business? Yes it's say so! ... Read more

I found this place online and it seemed like a great choice since it was cheap and what I was looking for. I reserved a units online and it charged my card $70 when the online promotion said it would only be $12 for the first 3 months but I really needed a unit at the time. The final step online was to verify my identity but my ID was expired so I tried to have me friends so it. It wouldn't let me do it online so we went to the facility the next day to verify it and the dude working was very rude to me and refused to rent to me and told me I'd receive a refund within 10 business days. It's going on 3 weeks now and I've still not gotten my refund. I call several times a week and today he asked me if I every for a unit rented and I told him no. He tried offering to have me come in and he will bypass all the computer stuff and rent a unit to me now. Extremely unprofessional ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecureSpace Self Storage - 4317 Commerce Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Enclosed, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 336 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecureSpace Self Storage - 4317 Commerce Drive start from $26 and can go up to $256 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
