Just had one of the best customer experiences of my life, I fear? I recently moved somewhere with very little storage and needed to secure a storage unit fast. Because what’s a gal to do with all of her seasonal decor and stuff she couldn’t bring herself to donate!!! I called around to multiple nearby storage unit companies, and every single one was looking to charge between $75-$105 for their smallest unit, an additional $12-$20 for their cheapest protection plan, and one place said their basic rental price could be changed at any time which is, respectfully, crazy. After working my way down the list, I called Canyon Storage and had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Pam. She cut straight to the point about the no-nonsense pricing and went above and beyond to answer questions I didn’t even think to ask. I explained I was still calling around but might stop by later, and she was so thoughtful and respectful. She even offered to stay past closing time to make sure I could get my things moved in tonight if needed. A few minutes later, I found myself driving straight to Canyon Storage—truthfully because of my interaction with Pam. Ten minutes later, she handed me a key, a lock, and clear instructions for getting into my shiny new unit. And five minutes after that, I had moved all my stuff in, thanks to the handy carts on-site. I’m not even two hours into being a customer, but I feel confident that if I ever run into an issue, Pam will be there to help. Final thought to the managers at Canyon Storage: whatever you’re paying Pam isn’t enough. At this point, I think I’ll start referring to the business as Pam’s Storage. Anyway. 10/10 experience. ... The moving van was a pleasure to drive but wasn't super clean in the cab. Friendly staff but I wasn't happy to get charged $15 for their "Safemove®" add-on that I am certain I opted out of... But I'd still rent a van from them again. ... Read more

I can't recommend this place highly enough! The facility is incredibly clean and well maintained. Very secure and well monitored. I stored my belongings at Canyon storage for three years and never had any issues or concerns. The staff are incredible and the customer service is top notch. Everyone is so kind, helpful, friendly, and responsive. They are all genuinely nice people. I want to give a big shout out to Pam who was so sweet in helping me sort out how big of a moving container I would need to move my belongings out of state. Moving is so stressful and Pam's assistance really eased my mind and made my life so much easier. A big thank you to Pam and to all of the wonderful staff at Canyon Storage. ... Read more

Hands-down, the BEST storage experience. I have had at least 5 storage units over the last 25 years. Canyon Storage puts all the others to shame. First of all, the rent has been very fair and stable. The place I came from increased the rent $7 or $8, every 5 or 6 months, with no increase in services. Not these guys. I've been in the same unit since just after they opened (about 3 years ago) and only had one reasonable rent increase. The managers have been very wonderful when I've occasionally needed them. One of the owners even got a bit misty-eyed as I was telling him about things I was bringing to the unit after my father passed away. He was caring and kind. I wish more businesses were as reliable and easy to deal with as Canyon Storage. I don't hesitate to recommend them. I only have one minor complaint, which is the lack of customer restrooms, after office hours, which is usually when I go there. It would make the space more useful if I didn't have to leave to use a restroom, when I'm going through my things, in the evening. ... Read more

Pam is incredible! She saved us more than $60 on our rental. She was extremely patient and customer oriented. She even offered to book future rentals for us via telephone. She's exactly what the service industry needs! Plus, the wait time was non-existent! ... Read more

The manager at Canyon Storage was truly a godsend. I was a bit of a nightmare customer, to be honest. First, I accidentally left some items in my U-Haul, but the manager kindly took the time to put them in my storage unit when my friends didn’t show up the next morning to help me finish unloading. It was a last-minute move, and my situation was a complete mess—I had no help and ran out of time to unload everything. The manager not only stacked my belongings onto the provided carts but also took it a step further by unloading them into the neighboring unit, giving me extra time to organize everything properly the next day. I can’t express how amazing the manager was, and the young college student who helped was also fantastic. I’ll forever be grateful for the kindness they showed me during one of the hardest days of my life. Even though I’m still homeless, I’m working, and I hope things will improve soon. Thank you for being the best part of this whole ordeal. You and your team deserve recognition and top bonuses for the help and care you provided. Bless you ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Think Storage - 750 East 3300 South start from $68 and can go up to $230 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
