What customers are saying

Read some helpful reviews of Sand-Sto Climate Controlled Storage at 380 Pleasant Grove Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Horrible ownership and management— we have been customers here for almost 3 years, and then a couple of months ago we noticed the management changed. At the same time, the AC “stopped working”. We were told they are waiting on a part to come in… this was OVER 2 months ago. In the dead of summer heat. While we are paying for climate control. We know things break, but last summer the AC also broke and the previous management had it fixed within days. Sounds reasonable, right? This time, it’s been OVER 2 months, and they are supposedly still waiting on the part. So we’ve been paying for climate control and there hasn’t been climate control for over 2 months. And still going without AC, who knows when it will be resolved, they won’t give us an answer and they keep just saying there is nothing they can do we have checked in every single week, sometimes twice a week… but I want to add that the property office, which is in the same building, of course has AC working and they are completely comfortable in there! So really, what incentive do they have to fix it? ….And when we asked for a refund for these 2 months, they said no. Ownership is horrible… took 2 weeks to even get a response from the owner, and when we finally did, lots of excuses why she couldn’t have given us a simple response. Inside of this building has always been kind of dirty and run-down for the almost 3 years we’ve been customers, but the previous management was always very prompt to take care of things like a broken AC or any other issue. I simply cannot say the same with the new management. And now that we know who the owner is and how she has handled this situation and communication about it (lack there of) … the ownership is no better. Horrible customer service. ... Read more

Amazing place for the price. You can tell it is older and could use some updates, but Justin is always so helpful and it is so convenient. And I have had my stuff in a unit there for a few years now, and I am overall happy here. ... Read more

Climate control is a selling point: unit is out and has been for a while. Moved my stuff in June now I have a really expensive couch and bed that has mold growing on it. Talking with insurance now for a replacement. Absolutely a joke and a shame. Door is taped to get into the main unit. Trash everywhere, combination of moth balls and meldew is the smell ... Read more

I have rented a unit here for about 8 months. After about 3 months, the owner stopped answering the phone and was never in office. This made it impossible to pay with a card over the phone. There was a sign posted with instructions for how to pay in cash, which we followed. We started paying cash every month, but since nobody was in the office, we never received a receipt. Now, we stop by our unit and see our lock has been removed and a new one is in place. We attempted to call about 50 (seriously, 50) times (trying both phone numbers provided), and finally reach Justin, who says our unit has been auctioned off because we haven’t paid our bill, despite the cash we’ve been giving them every single month. Now we are out a couple hundred dollars and have lost all of our expensive and sentimental items. He never tried to contact us, never called, never sent a letter in the mail, and never posted a sign on our unit that we have been visiting frequently over the past few months. We are devastated, confused, and contacting a lawyer. DO NOT rent here, do not let this happen to you. You can not trust them with your belongings. ... Read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! My friend has fully paid her bill and told the owner that she was moving out today. we get here and there is a red lock on her unit along with her lock. She contacts the owner who refuses to come open the door because he was busy, and will eventually get here. We have been waiting for two hours now. My friend has rented a uhaul and will lose her money she’s paid for it. The owner isn’t responsible and should have already had the lock off and ready for my friend to get her stuff out. THIS PLACE IS A SHAM!! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Sand-Sto Climate Controlled Storage - 380 Pleasant Grove Road start from $45 and can go up to $178 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
