This is by far the worst experience I have ever had renting a moving truck. They are rude and try to force you to buy their insurance. No one was there when I went to pick the truck up, at the scheduled time. I had to call the # on the door and the man was rude to me. The truck was covered by my insurance and I provided them with a letter and documentation, from my insurance company, they would not except it and required me to go back to my insurance company to have them rewrite the letter to specifically state we could drive a vehicle over 12500 lbs. My insurance company did so, but said they had never heard of such a thing. The truck was filthy!! food and debris in the cab and inside the trailer was full of debris, the outside was covered in mud and there was no gas cap, which they did note on the drawing of the truck and told us it would be fine without it. When we got to the other end to drop off the truck, they said not having a gas cap gives you bad gas mileage and they immediately put a cap on it. I did call customer service and they are going to refund me a whopping $25.00 of my rental. If I was going to rent a Budget truck again I would not rent it from Southpark Storage, go to Knoxville if you have to. Honestly, I will never rent a Budget truck again! I hope everyone who has had a bad experience with Southpark Storage and Budget truck writes a review. I hope the dirty truck and the hoops they made me jump through, trying to make me purchase their insurance was worth it. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this place. I would have gone elsewhere if I had the time to make the switch. We were just trying to take some furniture and a washer and dryer to our son and his wife, who just returned to the states from overseas. Come on people have a little pride in your business. ... First of all my reservation was for 3 pm and I get there and it is locked. There's a sign on the door with a number to call. Call the number 3 times and no answer. Someone finally shows up 30 min late and he is rude. Then he proceeds to lie to me about having to buy budget's rental insurance and screws me out of $50. So I would not recommend going with this place nor budget to rent a truck. Use uhaul even if they are more expensive because at least they are staffed during office hours and don't lie to you. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Southpark Mini Storage - 110 Plymouth Drive include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
