On Monday, June 2, 2025 I had an issue with my storage unit. The office where my storage unit is located was closed, so I went to the Sutherland Avenue office in Knoxville, TN for help. Kristi Hodge went above and beyond in helping me! She was extremely patient and professional. Not only did she take the time to listen to my issue, she was able to resolve it with her knowledge and expertise. Remember, she was helping someone who had a storage unit at a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOCATION! Kristi, thank you so much for your time and patience! I now know where to go if I need help in the future. Thank you! ... Read more

I must say that this place is Excellent! Kristi, owner/operator for the past 6 years is fantastic. She is very professional and personable. She made renting our unit a smooth and seamless process from beginning to end. At first she hesitated to show us the actual unit, offering the in-office sample, but as soon as I requested to see it she was immediately on board and walked us out to it. It was spotless and ready to go. Just what we were looking for. Also, she was very efficient and meticulous with the paperwork going above and beyond. She made an extra copy for me, since I was actually renting it on behalf of my mom (in her name) and one for my mom. Very thoughtful. (We are old-school and prefer hardcopies.) Way to run a great business, Kristi. Keep up the good work! ... Read more

By no means is this a reflection on the manager of the location. She has done a great job every time I have rented a storage unit. In fact, upon walking up to the facility, I saw that she was working and I was happy that she is who I was dealing with. This is my second time renting from this location. .. the reason why I gave it one star is because around 1 PM. I was sent a text message begging for a review.. I’ve barely had time to figure out if this is the unit for me or do I need to move somewhere. Btw it’s been around 24 hours since started a new storage contract. And I’m already being begged for a review just to buff up PR for the company.. Secondly, why I also gave it a one star is because about every six months after your promotional rate is over they’re going to go up in price . They love to say that it’s an industry standard and they are attempting to be competitive.. but we all know that it’s just greed. They seem to think what I’m holding is gold That’s the first reason why I moved out to begin with , it just got too expensive . It starts off as a low rate , and turns into something expensive if you don’t stay on top of it. For the same unit at another location, I was paying $157 . Originally started off at $57.. You can see how that tactic going up. Every six months becomes extremely annoying.. and when you’re holding stuff in the storage unit time seems to go by extra fast. Before you know it, its a year and a half later and now they’re asking $120 from you.. That’s my reason for a one star review corporate . You fell below expectations.. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 3303 Sutherland Avenue NW include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 16 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 3303 Sutherland Avenue NW start from $35 and can go up to $236 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
