Do not rent from here Shear Lake storage on sheer Lake Road. the woman at the desk is very snotty and has a terrible attitude. My stuff has been stolen her several time and gas has been taken from my equipment as well. Stay away from this place I think they have inside people that steal things like boats, cars lawnmowers trailers anything to get their hands on and their cameras do not work. They say they have new cameras but none of them ever work they try to blame other people. The attitude of these people are terrible to even try to own a business like this. Stay away and read the rest of the reviews that say the same thing. Especially the woman in the office stay away from her she is mean and has a terrible attitude every time you ask her a question or anything she is very rude. ... Read more

I have been a customer for 3 years. The reason I chose Sherlake is because their promise is the facility is under 24 hour surveillance and they guarantee Full Security. I’ve recently had equipment stolen from my unit. I’ve been requesting a copy of the footage for a 6 minute window for 8 days. Today I was told the cameras hadn’t worked in 2-3 weeks so they cannot supply footage showing who stole my equipment. When I asked what they were going to do to make this right since they advertise the property is always under surveillance, I have as told I was just out of luck. This storage company failed to keep their equipment up to date and running and it has cost me nearly $2000. Do not put your belongings here if you want to keep them secure. I’ve asked for the owner or manager to call me multiple times and I’ve not received a single call back. I will do all I can to make this public knowledge! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Sherlake Self Storage - 125 Sherlake Lane include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 500 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Sherlake Self Storage - 125 Sherlake Lane start from $55 and can go up to $250 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
