I have rented from Browns for over a year now and have had no problems what so ever! Mr. Brown has been very helpful and more then fair with payments! Also has been pleasant and accommodating in any situation where I've had questions or concerns. I would recommend this to anyone needing a unit. ... Read more

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. My mom and uncle both have rented from this place, and never had any issues. I just recently went and rented out a unit. Brian was very polite, and he explained everything perfectly. He didn't leave anything out. Told me what would happen if I didn't pay, and how long I would have, etc... you absolutely cannot beat the prices. Don't get mad when you can't pay, and you lose your stuff. You can't hate somebody for trying to run a business and not a charity. However, he is very helpful to those in hard times. But one can only help so much. ... Read more

So let me tell you about this storage company your renting from. I rented a unit a long time back and my father was dying. Well my father died and passed away. And when he did I fell into debt majorly. And this man that acts godly and nice wouldn’t even help me to get my parents photo album and my daughters birth book at least before he sold my unit and made his money back. Here it is like 10 years later and even thou I’m a different man and way better off oh he says that I can’t rent a unit from him. That once you lose one from him your hated for life and even thou he made his money off my unit and all it doesn’t matter. So then he calls me back saying he didn’t take me to court and that he sold the unit for $115 dollars or so but there is a remaining balance of $400 something dollars which does not seem right at all so unfortunately not going to be able to rent a unit to you ever again. I had lost everything. And was very young. I lost my whole past of my family our photos and everything I owned. For Christ sakes my father had just died and I did pay it for a good while as long as I could. But I was not able to pay it in the end. Which I even told him that he would have to sell the unit then because I couldn’t pay it. I even asked him to please at least let me get my family photos and my daughters baby book but him being a father his self I figured he would of understood. But nope he didn’t allow it and we lost it and who ever got it probably threw it all away. So I’m taking time to leave this review. So enjoy Browns Mini Storage of Dayton. Hopefully you don’t end up in a position of hard times. I had a storage place that I will always appreciate in Cleveland that helped us and worked with us one time. There is a few out there that is good. But this isn’t one of them. No telling how many people have had this happen and I didn’t post this back then because I let it go thinking well it’s just business for him and he had to do what he had to do. I don’t believe that was it thou now. I believe he got mad and thought I was lying or maybe he didn’t care just like he didn’t care that we lost our family album. Then calls me back and tells me that I owe $448 or so still! For what? I lost everything including my family’s picture album and now you want me to pay you this? When you had the chance to do the right thing as a godly human being and just let me have the family picture album but no his pride over the dollar is more then the pride for god it seems. So that’s why I am finally leaving this review. I would of paid towards what I owed still or paid it fully if he only would have done that one thing because I had asked this way before it was to be bought or auctioned. So I pray to god you have a better experience there. If I could have kept paying it I would of. It wasn’t as simple as that. And I had to put my child first as well over all. So it wasn’t as simple as that. Have a great day and thank you for hearing out my side of this place. God bless you and your family. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Brown Mini Storage Warehouse - 646 Walnut Grove Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
