I started renting here because the introductory rate was reasonable, but apparently, that was just the bait. This sucks! My rate increased to a total of 244%! I went from paying $44/month on a 5x10 to $110/month and $128/month on a 10x10 to $248/month on the same units! I'm in the military and deployed at the moment and I can't move out anytime soon it's already difficult enough to be away from family and I barely have any internet to write this. The price increase is ridiculous, this is price gouging to say the least. Sure, if the increase is on a small amount but a total of 244% increase is just corporate greed. This isn't about "market rates"—it’s about seeing how much they can gouge customers! ... Read more

DON'T RENT FROM THESE CROOKS!! PRICE GOUGING, BAIT & SWITCH These people are the worst kind of people. I got my unit last June. Was paying 112.50 a month. In November of 2024, the price went up to 238 dollars a month. I thought "clearly this has got to be a mistake", so I called to see what was going on. The girl I talked to was very helpful and understanding. We both kind of laughed at how absurd the sudden price increase was, she got my rate fixed back to what it was, apologized and told me that it was most likely a problem with some new AI they had integrated into their system. Well, at the beginning of July, the exact same thing happened. Same price increase, same situation in every way, except this time, Erin told me in the rudest of ways, that there was nothing they could do about it. Essentially told me to kick rocks. Truly had a look of satisfaction on her face as she told me that they refused to fix a problem which they had already assured me was a mistake when it happened in November. Said they had sent a notice in February telling me that the price would be increasing on April 1. While this is true, they had also sent a notice last September about the rate increase in November, but had assured me this was a mistake so why in the world would I think it would be legitimate this time around? On top of that, it didn't increase on April 1, as the notice had stated, so you'd think that would doubly nullify that notice. They basically called me a liar and refused to fix the problem that they had already assured me was a mistake. This is probably the 4th or 5th storage facility I've used in my life and something like this has never happened before. I've seen online that this does happen to other people at other storage facilities, but that doesn't make it right. It's purposefully deceptive. Hopefully this will deter others from renting here and the same thing won't happen to them. They don't call you about it or text message you about it, they try to sneak it in a separate email from your usual invoice, but they will call and text you for everything else. Crooked crooks. I'll be filing a complaint with the Tennessee Consumer Protections Division. ... Read more

Manager, Erin Shank, At Clarksville TN, Was an absolute reassuring, informative, in control person that I was fortunate enough to come in contact with. Erin was great at first... storage unit door was broken the first day, got past that. The storage unit has leaked. I asked the property manager to come look with me,  she took pictures and acted like it was no big deal that puddles of water were found in the storage unit. I was told it wasn’t a big deal and would be fixed. Fast forward to 3 weeks later, movers start moving me out of the storage unit to find water-logged boxes and water under my furniture. The property manager informed me that this is the risk involved in storing items. Filed a BBB case it was ignored. The general manager was supposed to return my call; he had his assistant call me to say he was on the road and too busy to return it. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at US Storage Centers - 2430 Madison Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by US Storage Centers - 2430 Madison Street start from $14 and can go up to $390 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
