Read some helpful reviews of River Rock Storage at 27054 Sunset Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I've been renting the same place for years. Since 5 Star took over, service is bad. They imposed new hours, then their clocks were set to eastern time, so I couldn't access my unit after 7:00 pm. The condition of the asphalt is bad. Lots of potholes. Each month, my payment is rejected, but whenever I update my payment method, it too is rejected. There are no actual humans to assist you. I have left multiple messages via phone and messenger. Days later I might receive a return message during my work day which I may or may not be able to answer. I fight this every month. Now they're increasing rates, which I understand, but service is going down while costs are going up. Bad/nonexistent customer service. I can't find a more convenient location for me though, so it is hard to leave. ... Read more

I've only been renting from Five Star for just over 3 months, and I can't imagine going anywhere else! Renting the unit online was a breeze, and their facilities are always clean. The last time we were there, we met Tyler, who was working hard on site in the heat, but he still made it a point to introduce himself and offer his assistance for anything. He's an asset to your company! ... Read more

We just moved our RV trailer into the Sundowner storage. They keep it very clean and it appears to be secure. The neighborhood also seems very quiet and well maintained. The only thing is the pull through spots have wood plaques on the ground with the space numbers. Many of these are broken or missing altogether. Making it a little difficult to locate your spot if your moving in for the first time. The management team over the phone was very helpful through the rental process and I am sure they will take care of this issue quickly. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at River Rock Storage - 27054 Sunset Blvd include the following amenities: Security Camera, Gate and Unstaffed Location. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
