At first the staff presented that they were caring about my situation of having to quickly move because of a death of a close family member. However after three more months of charges and not being able to access my storage unit when I attempted to clean out my unit I was talked to by the other manager as if grieving for my husband and having been hospitalized for over a month for it.. none of that was any valid reason to help another human being. I was told that a $350 fee is being assessed due to a repo of my belongings as well as if I ever want to get another storage unit at this location. I will tell you what.. even if I move remotely close to Sioux Falls again I will not be renting from these management people ... Read more

I had a full storage Basically filled with everything to move into a new home. Started a storage contract with new prairie on Maple and intervention in January 2021 of this year all my stuff got stolen in August. A detective was called to look at the cameras the cameras didn't catch anything the storage facility didn't catch anything they refused to reimburse my money for the month that my stuff got stolen since they couldn't reimburse me for all of the stuff that got stolen. Me not knowing that their storage facility has gotten robbed before their fence is always broken. I took a huge loss and now have to rebuy everything for a new home thanks for nothing new prairie. I suggest to anyone that is looking for a storage to go into a indoor storage facility and do not mess or deal with new prairie at all. ... Read more

Amazing customer service. I had lost the key to my padlock so I called the owner or the manager I'm not sure which and I told them what had happened. He was actually eating supper at the time. So we met at 7 o'clock that night and he cut my old padlock off. He gave me new padlock and refused any compensation for his time or the lock. That is customer service!!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at New Prairie Storage - 3801 West Innovation Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by New Prairie Storage - 3801 West Innovation Street start from $57 and can go up to $120 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
