The owners/workers are the best! Prices are reasonable and it's not to far from where I live, which is very convenient. Never had any issues with weather or critters. I always recommend them when asked about storage units! ... Read more

I love this storage facility. I've used the couple in Sioux Falls but didn't like them. But I'm so glad I found Oscar's mini storage people are nice the storage itself is really good best part you get to use their truck to move your stuff into the storage ... Read more

Oscar's is definitely the best place to store things. It's always clean. In winter, their snow removal is amazing, and the security is the best. The location in the center town is convenient. The people working there are always friendly and helpful. And they will let you borrow a truck! ... Read more

Oscar's mini storage is a very well-maintained storage facility and the staff is always prompt, courteous, and accommodating. Easy to access but also very secure! They have been in business a long time because they are great at what they do. Don't waste your money on a big name unit, Oscar's has everything you need at the right price. ... Read more

The guy in the office is a jerk. They put a lock on my storage unit while "my check cleared". The check cleared in 4 days. They didn't take the lock off till day 14. I told them the check was cleared. I got told they can leave it on for so many days. When it became over a week after the check cleared, i told him i was gonna cut his lock off or call the police. He went out and cut my lock off. Then refused to reimburse me for the lock. Would burn the place down before renting there again. There is a real nice lady in her later years that i will miss there. She was the only person i met there that wasn't a rude ass!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Cornerstone Storage - 2209 West 5th Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
