We started renting a unit in April 2024 when we sold our house - Laura and her husband (the owners) have been nothing but wonderful and attentive if we ever have any questions or if we have an issue. (Our door was jammed one time and they were prepared to come out same day, but we were able to get it unjammed ourselves) The unit we rented has a HIGH ceiling clearance, solid concrete floors that are positioned higher than the gravel outside for drainage and have been a solid space to keep our belongings. The storage unit is now currently WAY across town for us - but we will continue to rent from Depot Storage because of the outstanding ownership. And even after a recent price increase - they are still inline with or beat out their competition. ... Read more

I have had nothing but trouble since renting my storage unit here. I do understand there's no management. They have been more receptive. Seems to be a guy is running his business or something right out of this storage unit. He's always there with either a camper or a truck and they're there for days at a time. The drainage from water and snow is poor. They need more gravel. The units themselves are secure. Solid cement floor so that is good. I would say continue to give new management opportunity to improve things. They were responsive when I called about a gate being stuck open because the next day it was closed even though I didn't get a call back about it. ... Read more

Needed to store and excess vehicle and stumbled on to Depot Storage. Nothing but good things to say. At one point I wanted a more convenient location and the manager was more than willing to work with me to meet my needs; in fact went out of the way. Great Price! Great Security! Never had an issue and would not hesitate to use them as additional needs arise. Top Quality operation. ... Read more

Been renting from these guys for quite a few years now. Always been good to me. There have been a few times over the years that it took alittle time to get a response back on something, but nothing concerning. The property manager is awesome to work with and she is overall a good person, not just another bill collector. For anyone else that has had bad experiences over the past year and a half, you have to remember how much of a hindrance covid has made everything and especially when you get it, so even I apologize to you for inconveniences suffered through this awkward time. Thanks again folks at depot for working with me over these many years. ... Read more

I called them to arrange a unit to store items for a few months. They responded quickly to my message. The unit was clean when we arrived and area was secure. I have never had an issue with my unit or the manager of the facility. They are friendly and easy to work with. ... Read more

Do not go with this company. It is now impossible to get in contact with anyone and no one returns calls. I have left SEVERAL voicemails in the last 3 weeks with my information requesting a return call and I have yet to get one, let alone anyone actually answer a business phone during business hours. The voicemail says to call in an emergency, but it’s not emergent and a business should... I don’t know... get back to their paying customers? We pay our unit on time. They are holding our belongings hostage at this point. The next call will be to the owner or our lawyer. My husband and I have been storing our things with this company for almost 4 years and had no problem until about 2 years ago with a VERY late response for a request for assistance. Now this. She randomly sends invoices throughout the month, never consistent. This is the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. Pick somewhere else for your storage needs. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Depot Storage - 22909 Radar Hill Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Enclosed and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Depot Storage - 22909 Radar Hill Road start from $60 and can go up to $145 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
