Horrible, I rented a unit and it was full of garbage! That was 2 weeks ago it is still not cleaned out so I am unable to use it. They keep telling me they will expedite the manager to get it cleaned! Nothing!!! I have tried to call several times and get the same answer, I will contact the property manager and get it cleaned! I have asked to talk to management but that is not possible? ... This is absolutely the last place to rent from in Aberdeen. Customer service is terrible. People on the phone are hard to understand even if you do press 1 for English. I had 11 units, All of the things involved made it impossible. The place is a miserable wreck, broken doors, weeds to the roof, parking lot is like a motorcross track. 1/2 mile from grain elevator so I think that the rodents come over to vacation. This place is the last place to rent from. ... Read more

I have been renting from KO for going on 2 years. I will say the set up and rental process was easy and convenient given it was all online. When dealing with the KO company itself in problem resolving i am blown away by how poor their business is. I have called three times over the course of the last week to speak to a manager in regards to a leak in my roof of my unit. I have yet to receive a call back when they assured me both the general manager and district manager were aware of this issue and would get back to me within 24-48 hours. They lack in giving a good customer experience, they raise the rent continuously, and they do not even have enough respect for their costumers to simply even address issues. My suggestion would be to NOT rent from KO Storage. I'm extremely displeased with my experience with them. ... Read more

Initially a wonderful experience setting up online and moving in. When I gave notice to vacate and then couldn't get out by deadline I didn't get an extension on my unit offered. I had to submit a new application on another unit and pay for it. Now I have a past due account on one unit and a unit that i have never even opened that is paid for and no one will contact me to straighten this out. I have called multiple times and been given facility mgr number which has gone to voicemail the times i have called. No one has contacted me on this. Would not recommend this business to anyone. 9/30/23 update I still have not been contacted by facility manager nor regional manager. Now I'm being threatened with large fines including confiscating my belongings for "past due" amount when all I needed was an extension on an existing unit. Not one of the several people I talked to offered me this option. Will not be recommending this company. ... Read more

Easy rental process and nice sized units. However, snow removal just pushes a 3’ ridge in front of doors which don’t seal up well and units flood easily with thawing snow or even very heavy rains. Very poor to non existent seals on bottoms of doors and gaps large enough for lots of dirt to blow in. I don’t recommend the Aberdeen location. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 38422 Hwy 12 include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 120 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 38422 Hwy 12 start from $56 and can go up to $107 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
