I had a space to park my food trailer and they stole my $4,500 generator. I asked for the security videos to see who had stolen it and they never wanted to give it to me. They are not responsible for anything and during the day the entrance doors are open to That everyone can enter without a code, I do not recommend it at all. ... Read more

Unbelievable parona recept/cust serv. "Frankie" is ALWAYS unwarranted abrasive behaviour tactics of inaccurate information, denies and Refuses repeated request to contact her Mgr Miranda for " URGENT CALL BACK MSSG. After mo's of incompetent acc posting, ridiculous excuses, including why the Mgr is NEVER able to return calls is finally suspect "CYA"? I've been a good previous client off and on past 12 yrs, also brought other biz clients. ?? Note: Then during a long well respected professional Ofc Mgr, extremely efficient, great customer "valued" service and integrity, which has since retired. A major LOSS for the owners, Business and ALL Customers. It's beyond obsurd the past 10 mo's, gross behaviour, continued disrecpectful attitude, inaccurate stmts (when and if you can get it) and flat out lies on numerous occasions of policy, account info and mgmt. Still INABILITY to understand, operate correct data posting to computer program or correct correspondence, constantly argues even over... her own email..to me...barking one contradiction after another, louder of each paragraph claiming different INSANITY definitions. I repeatedly asked her to RE-READ your email STOP twisting POLICY STOP THREATENING RIDICULOUS & UNLAWFUL MADNESS? TO : Dear Owner, you are in grave need of a new Customer Serv. skill oriented, w/ professional integrity to adequately conduct business and resolve important customer issues, including DELIVERY of SOS MESSAGE REQUESTING MGMT OR OWNER TO RETURN CAL ASAP! My experience with sunset Storage was okay until my vehicle was vandalized while being stored at this facility. The extent of the damage totaled over $900 for repair. Sunset Storage promptly indicated they would not take any responsibility for the repairs and pointed to the fine print in the contract. I accept this is correct (not right ethically, but legally true) and I handled the repairs myself. However, I did ask they at least refund me the rental for the one lone month the event occured because since I had not received the service I had paid for (i.e. a safe place to store my vehicle). This was request was refused, despite making repeated requests over a multiple weeks. Sunset Storage would not even provide me a copy of the police report. After several weeks (and requests) I was finally provided a police report number and instructed to go obtain it myself. I personally cannot in good conscience recommend this storage facility to anyone. Please note this review has nothing to do with the laundry service co-located on the same premises. ... Read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. I have had a unit for 4 years. Checked on it, had all of my furniture wrapped. Went to open it today and my beautiful dining room table is dry rotted. There is a crack in the unit that is allowing water to come in. Owners refuse to take responsibility and say "We don't know there is anything wrong til a tenant tells us, but we wont rent it to another person til it's fixed." Obviously, geniuses. But you ought to pay for a $200 dining room table when it is YOUR unit that is faulty that I have been paying $50/month on for 4 years. You've made that money from me over and over again. Irresponsible, ridiculous, and thoroughly hate this place. ... Read more

So far my service has been great. The lady that helped me was great and just about as nice as you could get. Apparently she's retiring, however. Hope things don't change when she leaves. Security seems strong enough, but I don't store anything valuable with them regardless. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Sunset Storage - 2316 Sunset Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 325 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Sunset Storage - 2316 Sunset Blvd start from $49 and can go up to $600 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
