Coming from public storage this has been a great experience. I hope it stays this way because public storage they let you get in and then they upper your rent but for me I don’t have a whole lot of stuff so I can easily move my stuff out. So far with these guys, that’s been an easy experience ... Read more

Very good to work with. If the line is busy, there is the option to have them call you back. I chose that option but didn't think they would call. To my surprise, they called back in just a few minutes and we're extremely helpful. ... Read more

Do not use this storage! My unit has flooded and been broken into within the last 2 months. Impossible to speak with customer service. They are just interested in billing you each month. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Zero stars! The absolute worse experience. They need to be closed down! ... Read more

Got broken into, cops came out and said it happens every couple weeks , cameras are fake . They called two times before stating my unit was compromised and nothing was touched then this morning robbed. Sounds like a inside job casing units and waiting til customers stop coming to check . ... Read more

DO NOT PUT YOUR STUFF HERE. BUMS AND METH HEADS ALL IN THE WOODS BEHIND IT. THEY BUSTED THE WHOLE LOCKING MECHANISM OFF OF MY UNIT AND THEN CUT A HOLE IN WALL AND STOLE EVERYTHING OF VALUE FROM BOTH UNITS! I HAD OVER $12,000 OF STUFF STOLEN. POLICE SAID ITS A NORMAL REOCCURRING ISSUE!!!! IVE ASKED TO PERSONALLY MEET THE PROPERTY MANAGER TO VIEW THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE CAMERA SYSTEM AND VIDEO FOOTAGE WITH NO RESPONSE!!! ... Read more

I ride by here on a regular basis when visiting a friend's grave and I am completely shocked at the lack of security. The gate has been wide open for weeks and I have been told by a reliable source that the security cameras do not work and haven't in quite a while. Per the reviews, Theft seems to be an ongoing issue at this location. I have read the reviews and complaints on the BBB website. It is impossible to get in touch with the out of town owner. If you have a unit at this location go by and check on your belongings. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at 10 Federal Self Storage - 3943 Platt Spring Road include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Kiosk Available and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by 10 Federal Self Storage - 3943 Platt Spring Road start from $23 and can go up to $208 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
