The best storage units in Sumter, SC! The facility is top-notch - clean, secure, and easy to access. I was able to rent my unit online quickly and hassle-free, which made the whole process so convenient. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great storage options. ... Read more

Paid cash earlier for my 2 units. Was only credited for one unit, locked out of gate. Wasn’t even finished moving. Had to pay a third time to be able to get in gate. I pay a week in advance to prevent this. Be careful and read receipt over before walking out of office . I do not recommend this storage. ... Read more

The manager is very rude and unprofessional. I have only been there for a few months, but every month there is an issue. One month I had a lock on my storage because they needed me to sign a new contract. I live in CA, so I was only in the area for a few days. I had to fly back from CA again, sign some paperwork, just to be able to access my unit. Would not recommend. ... Read more

My unit was broken into and everything from tires to my kids clothes and my winter items were stolen but they claim to not have seen anything in camera and tried to accuse my own spouse of the missing items! Then gave us a hard time about pulling the camera further because she had to pay! But expected payments on time after all my items were stolen and the person who robbed us ..put other trash into our unit and yet we still got blamed! This place is horrible and definitely don't deserve a 1 star to be honest! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Patriot Self Storage - 430 Constitution Drive include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
