Bought a unit at auction. Showed up the day I received invoice 5 minutes before their stated closing time, which means I was on time. Then they have the gall the tell me I have 48 hours from the invoice date to clean it out, even they they can't be bothered to be at work during their stated open times. And they act like its some gift to allow me 12 extra hours the next day to finish. Terribly run place. ... Read more

This storage facility is pretty nice, and is rather new (built in 21 or 22 I think). They’re very serious about security but also have a very easy-to-use access site/app that easily provides access through the various gates and levels of the buildings via elevator. They also have 8-10 large carts available for use which made it quite easy to move material. ... Read more

Went from being exactly what I needed when it was Extra Space to just about completely useless now that it's Public Space. I had been able to access my unit at all hours, until one day, without any warning at all, they had changed branding to Public Storage, where the gates close at 9pm. What a joke. You know what ISN'T a joke, though?...I'm still paying just as much to NOT be able to access my things when I need to as I did when I was. I'd be willing to forgive all of this if I had been given ANY NOTICE of the changes AHEAD OF TIME, perhaps with a notice taped to the unit, or a text giving me a heads-up...but no, there was nothing but radio silence prior to the change. I would never have rented from this facility had I known it would be making these changes ahead of time, and as it stands I cannot wait to cut ties with Public Storage forever, as I have zero desire to do business with them in the future. ... This is a wonderful storage option! The staff there has been so helpful. Trish helped me get set up and even walked me to my unit. They make it really easy to access your storage unit and provide carts for you to easily transport your items. This is my first experience with a storage unit and it has been extremely positive! I highly recommend. ... Read more

Wonderful experience working with the site Manager Trish, she was patience, polite, and courteous, she kept me informed on Unit type availability, one that met my specific needs. If you're seeking a storage unit in a location where you can have confidence where any and everything you would have a concern for keeping your goods safe, just know this management team shares the same concerns...then you're in the right storage location, go see Trish! ... I was renting two units here. I moved some things out of one, so I didn’t have a need for both anymore. The office staff was extremely helpful in instructions on clearing out and consolidating the two units into one. It was a seamless process. As far as the climate control, it’s one one the best. Items that I stored nearly 7 months ago are as fresh as day one. I would recommend this facility for all of your storage needs. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 406 East 3rd North Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 40 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 406 East 3rd North Street start from $65 and can go up to $191 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
