We lost the key to our storage building and they were super nice about it. We called and within 15 minutes they had someone on site to cut the lock. 10 minutes later we were in our storage. We can’t thank them enough for the great service! ... Read more

Bait and switch. Take your business elsewhere especially if you think this may be a long-term rental. The price of my storage unit has been going up significantly over the last few years. Some increase is expected but I was told this to be normal and based on the market. But that is not why. They take advantage of the fact that no one really wants to move once you get settled. The manager told me it was based on market availability and how long you stay in the unit. But here is what got me. I’ve now been paying $205 for a 10’ x 10‘ space. When I complained about the price, they said they could move me into a 10’ x 15‘ space for $67 but at a different location. When I asked why the difference in price, they said the other location had more availability. When I started, my unit was in the $60+ range. So why not let me stay where I am for the price they offered or what I had originally agreed to? So if it was market based, nearby competition would be charging similar prices, right? Not the case. Prime Storage right across the street is offering the same size unit for $67. The difference is, their units are climate controlled. So why would I want to pay $205 for a non-climate unit when I could be across the street for $67 for a climate controlled unit. Or why move across town to a different location when I can move across the street climate controlled unit at $67? And who is to say that if I did move across town to pay less, those rates wouldn’t go up as their availability goes down. So why would I or anybody else ever rent from Storage Rentals America knowing their price go up significantly the longer you stay in a unit? You would think they would reward longtime customers. But they are banking on you not wanting to move regardless of how much they hike your rates. That said, they just lost a long time paying customer and one that is going to recommend storing with anyone other than Storage Rental of America. ... Read more

Rented 2 units here and they add chargers and mess up my bill constantly took over a month for them to rectify one of the bill issues I had and it took me calling every week to fix it and also now they suddenly raised the rent with no notice or advance plan to move my stuff out as soon as possible. ... I rented a unit over the phone and was told it would be inside a gate. I was also given a code for the gate. Upon arrival to the unit, I found that it was not gated at all. I called the same day to terminate my contract. I was told by the manager that I would receive a refund, but that was months ago and still nothing. This is a very dishonest company and I will never attempt to use them again. ... Read more

Jed McGinnis This guy does an exceptional job running the place. The place is quiet and peaceful which I greatly enjoyed. Jed's there every morning and evening making sure nothing is amiss. I stayed with SROA for over a year due to it's affordability, location and most importantly the staff. The thing I appreciated the most was that Jed goes the extra step to help resolve any concerns and I even noticed that they have a pest control contract on location so when I came for the final time to get all my things they were rat free and my mattresses were even safe. I appreciate the exceptional customer service and Jed left a great impression. If I need storage in the future SROA will be the first people I look up and that's thanks to Jed going above and beyond. ... Read more

The property manager was very helpful in getting me set up. I enjoyed the conversation and I am pleased with the unit we rented on cedar springs road. I’ve seen some reviews where it says you get it for a good deal and then later the price goes up. I hope that is not the case. So far and overall I am pleased with my experience! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 151 Cedar Springs Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 151 Cedar Springs Road start from $35 and can go up to $202 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
