The customer service is great and the price is fair. The only problem I have is that the so called climate control is a joke. It's really cold inside of the Simpsonville location. I really wish that they would keep it a little warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. ... Read more

I moved into this unit during 2021 in the height of covid. It was a very distressing time, my movers were not so savory; however, Nick made everything so much better. He was the manager then and still is now! He helped me navigate a national moving group that grossly mismanaged my move and lent his presence (which was beyond appreciated) in the midst of our distress. The people in these businesses are what make them most successful and I'm grateful for 3 years with Nicks professionalism, compassion for us, and business acumen. He deserves 100 gold stars! ... I have 2 units in this place and 5 other units at another company. The only reason that I have not left is because I hate moving stuff around, and the staff is very nice to us. However, I have never been happy about having two price increases within the first 6 months of occupancy (hopefully, not another increase in my anniversary), while I have never had an increase in my other locations. Probably, this is a good place for short-term storage, rather than long-term, if at the mercy of price increases. Have never had an issue about theft (I carry my own private insurance, though). Update: I would not have added an update to this review but I decided to finally move to another storage company at the end of March and ironically received my third rate increase notification within almost a year or so right after turning the units in! From just around $136 initial rate, the rate eventually went up to more than $183 per unit within 6 months and $216 by now! Never even asked for a military discount! So if you are planning on staying more than 2 months keep that in mind. ... Read more

I currently have a unit in Greenwood County with another company. I wanted to bring my belongings closer to my new job so I looked into this business. I called and setup for getting a unit tonight around 6:30pm. I arrived about 10 minutes later and told the lady at the call center I didn't like what I saw from outside the gate because access looked hard. I had watched a truck enter right in front of me and go in a small door after walking up steps. Theirs only one door that raises up as a dock on the entire building. I was told that the map she had showed the doors to access my unit would be much bigger and better than what I saw from outside the gate but I needed to sign the paperwork digitally to get a gate code to go see for myself. So I had to trust her and go through with the process. I'm still on the phone with her as I go find the unit telling her all along how far away it is and all of my concerns. We open the unit and immediately I realized the one I currently have is bigger and better and I asked for a refund. I was told that department was closed. If they refund me I will consider taking this review down if and only if it's done immediately. If I have to wait several days the review will remain for sure. I didn't feel like the place was safe for myself yet along my belongings. Highly recommend going elsewhere especially now seeing how much theft they have. I'll stick to my unit in Greenwood County and make the drive because they have much better access and security measures. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 1108 NE Main Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 1108 NE Main Street start from $21 and can go up to $354 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
