Wow. I had a problem getting in my unit when lock code did not work. Jewels was more friendly and helpful than ANY phone support person I have ever come across!!! She spoke clearly, guided me in the steps to take, and gave me over 30 minutes or more to verify that she was talking to unit renter, then proceeded to get me in. I was on a slow connection or it would have taken less time I think. But she was everything you wish support persons to be, but most are not. I’m very happy to have gotten Jewels to help. Thank you so much and hope you teach others how to be more personable and kind but thorough and respectful as you. Take Care and Keep Up the Good Work! Gary ... Read more

I’ve used this storage unit throughout college to store my belongings over the summer and during the school year. The facility has always been reliable, and the staff is incredibly helpful with any questions. Amanda, in particular, provided outstanding customer service over the phone. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole process smooth. The units themselves are always clean and the move in process was smooth. ... Read more

Horrific experience so far. I rented two units and have had nothing but issues with gate access, padlock access, lease needing documents signed that turns out were not needed preventing me from opening the gate. I checked any outstanding balances on the app prior to loading up my trailer. When I arrived, it said I had some misc. $9 balance and it would not open the gate. When, I tried to access the padlock via the QR code, it would not work. I then had to prove who I was and where I was. So, I had to scan and text my driver's license, padlock serial code and picture of the lock attached to my unit. This location has horrific cellular coverage. So, my text messages could not be delivered. Customer service was very nice, but probably the worst overall experience I have EVER had with a company, storage or otherwise. 8/18 Update: Their management called me this morning. She had listened to the 10 phone calls I place over my 2-3 day move. She apologized for my recent experience. She was very nice and provided me her phone number that I could call should I experience any other issues. I do believe that the set up/move in hardships are behind me. The units themselves are nice and clean. I can attest to the steps they take to mitigate any risks associated with unauthorized people accessing their sites or your storage unit. So, for that, I am very pleased with their security controls and procedures. ... Read more

Getting a unit here was easy and stress-free. I am switching over from another storage unit due to moving farther away, and the switch could not have been more convenient. Ebonee helped me along the way, setting me up with a prorate before February, getting me a better rent price than my previous unit, and just being a great person to converse with. I got everything done over the phone in 45 mins, which allowed me to understand all the differences between Midguard and my previous unit. I assume this will continue through my renting period at Midguard, but what I can say now is that I am impressed. Thanks again Ebonee. ... Read more

Besides very expensive and the U-Haul’s blocking the entrance to where you couldn’t hardly get in. Place is good and people are helpful and friendly. But I take a little advice, and find somewhere else to park the U-Haul’s. Especially on the weekends when people are moving. ... Read more

Easily worst experience ever! Literally traveled from another state with a U-Haul and had everything set up before hand and pulled up and no access to gate or unit. Apparently we had no account registered and no available person on site to help. Which is crazy to me cause they had no problem charging my card and sent an email with a contract and information to access the gate/unit. I spent over an hour trying to even get in the gate, finally able to with a temporary code after speaking to 3 different people (not local people). Then I wasn’t able to access the Davinci lock. Now waiting on a email for someone to send me information so I can access the unit that I’ve already paid for. Ridiculous and will never recommend to anyone! I will be reaching out demanding a refund or free months or whatever to compensate for the trauma I’ve had to deal with. On my way to the hotel with a U-Haul to see if I can even park it there, till I can physically speak to someone on site to help with this mess. ... Read more

Midgard may be a little too futuristic for me. As far as quality of units I’d rate them an 8 but based on clarity and helpfulness it would be a 1. I rented a unit online but was having difficulty signing the lease online. The following morning I went to the office of the unit that I thought I was renting hoping to find an employee on site. Instead there were kiosks for virtual help. An employee came on the screen to inform me that the online forms had been signed (but I never saw confirmation on my end that they were signed) and that the unit I rented was 12mi away (even though online it said that the location was where I was). She also explained that the next month would be due in 2 days at a different rate than what was advertised online. Online it said the unit I was renting was $125 but she informed me that it was $169. I explained this to her and she gave me an email address as a point of contact. When I emailed they did attempt to resolve my issue and match the $125 rate. I would still have had to rent a unit on the other side of town which I was not willing to do so I requested to cancel the storage. I was then informed that all sales were final (which it does state that on the website) and that I would not be issued a refund. I find it quite convenient that out of 3 pieces of information that were on the website the only accurate one is that NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. I never even opened the storage unit but was still charged a prorated fee. I think all of this could have been avoided if they had actual staff that ran their offices instead of having to do everything “virtually”. I will definitely keep that in mind for future reference. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Midgard Self Storage - 600 Shiloh Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 720 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Midgard Self Storage - 600 Shiloh Road start from $43 and can go up to $413 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
