We’ve had nothing but headaches with Midguard. The contract doesn’t even reflect the actual boat we’re storing, yet when we questioned it, they brushed it off and said it would “be fine.” For years they always notified us when insurance paperwork was due, but suddenly they stopped and just charged us a fee. The rates are outrageous and climb every year. We started at $150 and are now at $350. One of the increases was texted to us on the very day Hurricane Helene hit, while we were at home trying to rebuild our lives. No compassion, no care. To make it worse, when we pointed out that new customers were being charged $190 while we were paying $350, they immediately offered to drop us to $212. That kind of pricing game tells you everything you need to know. This has to be the worst storage company we’ve ever dealt with. We truly wish we could go back to Take Cover Storage—they actually cared about their customers. ... Read more

Midgard has been a GREAT place to store our watercraft. The staff is always willing to lend support with any issue we have experienced. We recently raised an issue regarding a rate increase for the rental space. We reached out to customer service and they worked with us to help control the monthly cost of the service. There responses were quick and GOOD! We appreciate the staff and there work to keep us as a customer. ... Read more

For the most part, I am very pleased with Midgard Self Storage in Seneca. I do wish that the temperature in the climate controlled area was a bit cooler in the summer and the frequency of rate increases has been more than it should be. My previous storage unit on Hilton Head didn’t have a rate increase in 4 years and Midgard has had 3 in the first year and a half. Security and convenience are excellent and Bruce is an extremely valuable asset with the help he provides onsite. ... Read more

Fantastic storage facility. Very well-managed by Bruce and his team. They are always present when I come in and are courteous and conscientious, seemingly on top of things. I feel good about my classic car being stored here. ... Read more

Do not use! Mold due to water leaking from vent above our unit-no straight answers and avoidance to giving me higher level contacts. We had a unit at the Seneca storage facility on Blue Ridge Blvd for over a year. We went in June to get an item and found that our stored items were molded. The property manager came to the unit to take pictures and confirmed they have other units near ours with the same issue. From our boxed clothes to kitchen essentials to our furniture-covered in mold and mildew. We began the move out process in November and found the source (see picture) their vent was leaking water into our unit onto our kitchen table and chairs. We did have the unit insurance and pending a claim but the property and the “market manager” and “upper management” isn’t taking any responsibility. Defer and deflect! Don’t risk it! We had to throw away tons of items some that can be replaced and some that cannot. The girls that work there “aren’t allowed to give out upper management or the market managers contact”. We probably won’t ever be reimbursed or even get an apology! Just don’t risk it, use a different facility just not a Midgard one! I’m sure they are all ran the same! ... Read more

The online reservation process was quick and easy. The facility was easy to find. I had issues figuring out which door to actually use to get to my storage unit. The staff on site that day were less than helpful and didn’t seem too eager to leave the office and provide assistance. The code I was given didn’t work at first, so I had to call the staff and they corrected the issue for me. After that, everything was downhill, but our initial experience was a bit frustrating. ... Exceptional Service from Bruce and His Team! I wanted to share my recent experience as a new boat owner using Bruce's facility. We've been storing our boat there for just over a month, and the service has been exceptional. Despite the short time frame, we've already taken our boat out about 15 times. One notable example of their outstanding service occurred when we returned from an outing and discovered a flat tire on our trailer. We didn't have the tools to fix it and decided to address it next time. To our surprise, we received a call from a staff member informing us about the flat tire before our next trip. We appreciated the heads-up, but what truly impressed us was the next day's call from Bruce himself. He had taken the initiative to change the tire, put on the spare, and marked the damaged tire with red tape. This level of care and attention to detail is remarkable. Bruce and his team genuinely take pride in their work and care about their clients. Their efforts have given us peace of mind and made our boating experience even more enjoyable. Much appreciated! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Midgard Self Storage - 1448 Blue Ridge Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 980 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Midgard Self Storage - 1448 Blue Ridge Blvd start from $33 and can go up to $422 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
