Place is trash. Rented a unit. Got the information. Was told in email the lock on it was a code. Loaded a uhual went to the place went in. The unit they gave me was already rented to someone else. No one was there. I called. They told me they work remote. Sent me over to another unit that was supposed to be my size. It wasnt. I immediately canceled and left and went elsewhere. 2 months in a row now after receiving proof of my insurance the new owners are still charging me for their ins. and will not refund me. That's who now owns North Augusta Self Storeage. Let me add there is no contacting them. No one is ever at the office it seems and if you call you get a call service somewhere in Atlanta. She is zero help no fault of her own. The new owners have never returned my call. I can't wait to move. But I will never forget or stop telling people how horrible these new owners are. They raised rates, removed the dumpster, and charge me for coverage I have provided them. You ruined this facility. ... Read more

The worst storage unit I ever been to. I ordered a 10x10 unit. “After closing” for reference, I get to the facility and get to my unit….unit 35 if you want to fact me. The unit was the size of a coat closet literally I couldn’t even fit a 43 inch tv in it, so I wasn’t tripping yet I said it’s probably a mix up, so I call and leave voicemails and emails and it’s after hours so I still gave them the benefit of the doubt…but the next day they never replied, I called 3 hours straight no answers….the place is ran down too, fences look like they can easily be jumped over….dont used these people ... I’ve had my storage unit for over ten years. There are just some things I can’t get rid of. What really keeps me at North Augusta Self Storage is Ruby. She’s always pleasant and willing to talk to me about whatever is on my mind. She’s not one of those people that is there sometimes and not there sometimes. She is friendly, courteous and reliable, as is her husband. I honestly believe if she left I would leave also. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at North Augusta Self Storage - 1815 Knox Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Security Camera and Gate. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
