If you rent from them do not rent on the old College St one. There were multiple break in's and the owner offers no compensation. There are also no working cameras at any of them. Also, they say you go to auction when you are 3 months behind in rent. It's actually 2 months. Store your stuff at your own risk because the owners do not fix anything or pay back for items stolen or damaged. ... Read more

You know, this isn't an awful place, and my stuff was safe enough with a lock on it, but I wouldn't never put anything here in storage that I actually cared about. It's cheap which made it worth it, but their hours were weird, and I never got notified I was late on a payment, and they put a lock on my unit, and after I paid it, they didn't take it off until I called to let them know... Which then I was put on a list so they took it off when they chose to do that. Which I guess I understand, but I had no idea it was even on there. Anyways, it was convenient and that's all that mattered to me at the time. But I wasn't staying there long ... Read more

Great facility! They offer units of many different sizes to meet whatever your needs may be. The prices are very reasonable, especially for somewhere that is climate-controlled. My unit was very clean when I moved my belongings in and I have never seen any evidence of bugs or other pests. They keep the temperature well-regulated to protect my belongings from the SC heat and humidity. The facility is well-lit so I have always felt safe if I needed to stop by after dark. The office staff is friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this facility. ... Read more

Called the lady that works there she didn't sound concern or anything just stating we are not responsible for things being lost or stolen. Yes they are we got a gated storage unit there with cameras and there is nothing no one can do. Will never use this storage company again. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Heritage Mini Storage - 199 Riley Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
