I hadn’t even had my boat here a month and it was stolen from this facility because the security gate was not working properly. This is completely unacceptable for a storage facility that charges customers to keep their valuable property safe and secure.(According to their website). The fact that the gate was not functioning for days raises serious questions about the facility’s security and whether reasonable measures were being taken to protect customers’ property. What made this situation even worse was the way the manager handled it. Instead of showing genuine concern or taking responsibility for the facility’s security failure, the manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to take any accountability or liability. After paying to store my boat at what I believed was a secure facility, I expected a much higher level of security and professionalism. Having your property stolen is an incredibly upsetting experience, and the lack of compassion and accountability from management only made an already terrible situation worse. I strongly caution anyone considering storing a boat, vehicle, or other valuable property here. From my initial contact by phone with Jessica to completing my paperwork with Cherrelle, the entire interaction was so polite and professional. And the facilities are very well kept. As you walk in the front office you can tell that someone took the time to clean. So much that I had to compliment them! Later, as my family and I were nearly finished with putting our items in the unit we noticed staff making their rounds and cleaning the grounds before leaving for the day.
