wish i could get in touch with the owner been trying for multiple days and He doesnt even have a business answering machine. He wont answer to take payment for a unit I assume so He expects you to drive there since he cannot even answer a business phone. Very unprofessional and poorly ran business. Worse Storage Facility ever and Ive used Public Storage multiple times, at least they are intellligent enough to run a legit company and provide customer service. Whoever owns this cannot do either! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... Read more

Be EXTREMELY careful about giving your credit card information to this place. Admittedly, we got behind on our bill last year and they were wonderful about helping us get back on track without losing our things; HOWEVER, this is the SECOND TIME in less than three months that they have run my card WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. We are NOT on an auto pay plan and no authorization was given. Brian blames his parents saying "they didn't know" and my card was "run by mistake" and then I find out it was him who ran it. I let it go the first time because it wasn't worth the hassle and he ASSURED me it wouldn't happen again, but now he's done it again!! You don't play with people's money like that!! I will be removing my things ASAP and will warn everyone I can about their shady practices. This is inexcusable. He didn't even bother to call me!! Furthermore, their stupid gate system is on the fritz more often than it works. Why pay extra for a nice, secure facility if you don't consistently have access to your things?! Their billing system is even worse and it seems too complicated for them to maintain. Part of the reason we even got behind last year was due to their stupid billing system and they said payments and accounts were mixed up and they needed time to sort through it. Just save yourself a headache and find a different storage facility. This one will give you migraines. Oh, and a return call to try to work things out when you have a problem?...don't hold your breath!! UPDATE: I left another voice mail, a quite angry one, when he didn't call me a week after my first message was left for him. Rather than be a man and call me back, he sent me a generic letter with the "conditions" page of the contract attached with highlighted areas. The things he highlighted were a blanket threat that he would sell our things if our payment for the upcoming month wasn't made by the 5th. I had already let them know we'd have our things out by the end of the month. His actions speak VERY LOUDLY. He is a COWARD!!! He's had no problem calling me if he wanted me to buy something he took from other tenants who couldn't pay, but he doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to call me when he KNOWS what he did was fraudulent and morally corrupt! Please folks...stay as far away from this facility as you possibly can!!! UPDATE 2: He just called me on a Sunday morning and all he could do was talk over me. Claimed he was in the hospital for the last 2 weeks, but then admitted that he was the one that charged my card 6 days ago on Monday. I wonder how he did that from the hospital - that's a pretty neat trick! Even said he didn't have time to talk to me because he's headed to church!!! THEN, he tried to say that I still owed him money! This guy is UNREAL!!! I only wish that I could give this business NEGATIVE stars!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Mid Carolina Mini Storage - 124 Black Jack Oaks Lane include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
