Read some helpful reviews of Midgard Self Storage at 246 SC Hwy 225, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Miss Darian was absolutely amazing. She made the whole process Pleasant stress, free and easy. After hearing her, give me the rundown, I would highly recommend storing if your belongings at that storage unit. They have very nice storage units, very clean facility safe, and they also make upgrading or downgrading. It's very easy with many options. I would highly recommend talking to Miss Darian, for any of your stores' needs. Miss darien, you rock. And if the owner reads this, he needs to give you a raise.Because you're a keeper. ... Read more

There isn’t an actual human on site. You have to speak with a computer KIOSK on the wall. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND VERY UPSETTING. Nothing says we don’t value you more than not having a LIVE HUMAN to interact with and ask questions. And if you want to be shown anything like a unit to compare sizes etc you better just go somewhere else. Also after making my payment according to my bill (paid early) they sent me email saying I was locked out due to nonpayment. I had to put payment in Dropbox because again no human on site to hand it to but miraculously my check did clear the bank within 24 hours and yet still they locked my access to gate and my stuff. Very disappointing. And when I went there after getting email the “computer crap on wall said no one on site, even though the hours posted said open daily 8am-7pm. Amazing how walk kiosk can lock and unlock doors but can’t do anything else. ... Read more

The sign up part was easy but I’m old school and not used to a virtual assistant when I walked into the office for help navigating all the codes I received. The amount of emails and texts were overwhelming and different codes came in each one. It was a lot but good now that I have been able to go a few times. The actual place is clean and safe. I feel good knowing my belongings are stored in a climate controlled environment. ... Read more

Be aware...YOUR RENT WILL SKYROCKET. We rent 2 units from them and in both cases they jacked up the rent over $70 on both of them once our first month was up. The unit we pay almost $200 for shows $114 on the website, and they say that's only for 'new customers'. So just be aware that your rent WILL GO UP after the first month. They have quite a little racket going. FOLLOWUP 9/4/24. They have gone up another $50 on our rent just out of the blue. They can basically charge what they want apparently. Again, the storage unit is fine just be aware that your rent will go up pretty much every other month. FOLLOWUP 10/30/24. Rent is going up AGAIN. I am moving out. It should be illegal to increase the rent EVERY MONTH. ... Read more

I met Brittany as she was passing by my unit and kindly waved to greet us as she did her job. I then asked her for help on my payment method on my account and she was very generous to help me with assistance inside the building. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Midgard Self Storage - 246 SC Hwy 225 include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Midgard Self Storage - 246 SC Hwy 225 start from $29 and can go up to $176 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
